Especially as their house insurance said it wasn't covered!

Born Blonde - shocking, I struggle to think why people do it and have the nerve. But then they only do it because people will buy it off them because it is cheaper, doesn't matter to some that it is stolen.

GQ really pleased your mum is still clear :D
vjsmum, glad to hear you're back ok

    xx

I just had to phone mum (homerdog) and ask for help in concealing a crime...I've been caught by dh, smuggling in goodies:eek: (and I've told him they're all hers and i just didn't get time to drop them off:rotfl:)
3black bags full of fabric, curtain material, crushed velvet...allsorts and on top of that a pile of big fleeces, from freecycle.

hoping to make some halloween fancy dress outfits, draught excluders, and to line the front room curtains, oh and there's some lovely tweed type fabric that would make a gorgeous skirt to go with knee high boots and thick woolly tights

he didn't catch me with the stuff i actually paid for though ;)
a nice wool mix knee length winter coat for me for a fiver, a knitted dress for me for 1.99 a bright pink slanket for me for 1.99 ( i went in looking for wellies and stocking fillers for the girls:o)
and a very nice black shirt for DH for 75p. I'm going to wash and iron it and hang it in his wardrobe and pretend he's had it ages...he'll never know:rotfl:
all bargains that will be well used.

back in work tomorrow, but i dont feel like it. when i phoned in today the boss said i thought you were only having a biopsy, stop being a mard-!!!!. she really doesn't inspire staff loyalty:mad:

GQ- What lovely news about your mum. Definitely time to crack open the celebratory custard.

I'm a bit of a custard fan. I get the value custard powder here, make it up with skim milk and sweetener and I'm fine with it. Since I can't have cake I put it on stewed apple, sliced banana. It's also good just left to set cold.

I can't have a nice shopping trolley. I did have one, but gave it up to my grandmother in law, pulling it really hurt my hands. I realise the trolleys themselves are quite stylish, but it might be going a bit far if I rigged a harness for me to pull one along!

I can well believe the oil thefts, it seems such an easy target for thieves really. If it's not nailed down someone will try and nick it.

Well, more painting for me today I think! My legs aren't as sore as yesterday, so maybe I'm getting used to the exercise. I'll have thighs like a russian shotputter at the end of this.

Ikea have this prydlig-shopping-bag-on-wheels__0143969_PE303343_S4.JPG in my local store. It's £18 with family card or £25 without. It is a lot smaller than my hoppa though and that was around £20. Still, I thought it was funky ;)

I have to have that! It would have been downright perfect for trundling up and down to the allotment but even with the allotment going I still want it for the High Street. I've been meaning to get a trolley for ages, just hadn't seen one that I fancied up till now.

:)Softstuff, well done on your painting and hope you don't end up too sore.

Re trollies, those square ones are easier as you push them like a pram rather than tow them, you can get 4 wheeled ones or 6 wheeled ones (the two front wheels are doubles and turn like buggy wheels). Possible thought? Mum has one of them. Actually, since I stayed with them on August Bank Holiday weekend and went to a bootfair, she has two as I found one for a fiver. The originally is on it's last wheels, y'see.

Pooky hope your cat comes home soon for grub and cuddles.

Pops think they were £1.74 at MrS at the mo
Monnagran wondered how she was going..blimey long old labour there then!
Glad you had a nice day Lisa don't let the old sourpuss boss put a downer on it say hello to homerdog for us :D

Thats shocking re the oil thefts I suppose even if you could (or do) lock the tank up they'd find a way in, b*ggers
  • GQ great news about your mum:D

Pooky I hope you cat turns up soon

Cake thinking of you for tomorrow.

My Ethel is a four wheeled trolley so can push her as cannot pull any more which is what I did with old one. Old one never had a name and now holds all my bags of sugar so still useful. Ethel is a tartan lady who looks as ancient as me so we make a good pair.

Managed to finish one hat for DGD3 and now be asked to knit two more to same pattern but one in red and one in navy (to go with coats of those colours) of which I have neither so at last an excuse to buy yarn - have got the colours but not in a nice wool mix which is what I knitted the other hat in, only have them in acrylic. Am knitting DGS7 a hat in acrylic as knowing him it will need washed daily and colours he have asked for are black with blue and green so will knit up at least two for him.

Fuddle you go and blaze the trail with your trolley tomorrow.

Mono hopefully will wake up to the news of your latest family member

    Hugs and Love to allxxxx
