For those that know Manchester where is there to park near Dale Street/Oldham Street on a Sunday? Long, long ago I used to know Manchester so well, but only been to outskirts for many years now so all strange.
Hugs and Love to allxxxxx
PTH, I don't drive so don't know all the tricks. However, there is a P&D car park off Tib street, accross from Afflecks. There are probably free places, however:)0 -
Fuddle
Could you claim on household insurance?
Maybe cook the most expensive stuff and beg freezer space from neighbour, friend, family?
I'm upset for you and hope you can rescue some of it.

Pah google car parks oldham street manchester you will find the info you need. where you are going is sort of in the middle of Oldham street so you probably be best parking around Tib street - theres a multi storey there but I dont drive and theres a one way system so you need their directions in. Its not too bad if you have the directions xxClearing the junk to travel light

Cake one of my old girls just curled up under a rose bush and didn't want to come in. It was a warm evening so we left here out.
Next morning we found her still there, still curled up but dead.
I'm sure she knew.C.R.A.P.R.O.L.L.Z Able Archer0 -
There are so many hugs needed, so I'll just pile them up and you can all take what you need:)
That has happened to me fuddle, and it is awful! However, you can cook and re-freeze a lot of things, so if some of it will keep to the weekend perhaps you can get all of your burners and the sc going and salvage some of it. Obvs. any yellow stickers will be lost:( I have before re-frozen what I considered to be low-risk items (i.e veg that would be cooked) etc. I'm not sure how safe it is, however, so I'm hesitant to really truly suggest it.0 -
Fuddle, as Elona suggested - check your house (contents) insurance policy! Just remembered when this happened to us, were able to claim and it was a nice surprise. Fingers crossed for you ...0

Opps Fuddle sorry I should have pm'd you:o,sorry folks, but offer stands if you need it, hubby hates going just for drives to no where special but say to him have to go here or there no problem at all. One meal I used to make many moons ago when could not afford meat but vegetables were cheap but family wanted meat was stew made with lots of vegetables including potatoes plus a couple of Oxo cubes to give it a meat flavour. As they didn't want vegetables I would mash the lot with a potato masher and it would pass muster. Children were 7,4 and 1 at the time so fairly easy to fool. With a bit of tomato sauce all including hubby were happy
Hubby going to check out about parking, its while I am at meet-up he plans doing his usual of sitting reading in car so can park a bit a way and I can phone him when finished but prefer him to be near a loo and maybe somewhere to get a drink.
He is not working this afternoon so will be making my d!but at Aldi for their super six, then off to Prescott for wool as nearest wool shop sadly.

Sorry about your freezer hun, hope you can manage to salvage some of it.Baby Mia Grace Joy arrived safely at 2.53am weighing 7lb 12oz.
Fantastic news, many congrats to you all. What a lovely name
Cake Sending you lots of ((hugs)) today
Loving that funky ikea trolley. I might get a shopping trolley when DD2 is older, at the moment i just shove everything on and under the pram - note to self, remember not to load it up too much so that it tips poor DD upNot that i've EVER done that of course
Just made a big pan of 'fridge-bottom' soup, its simmering away nicely. I've finished the squares for my friend's DD's dolls blanket so just need to join them together and put a border on then make a little pillow. I've put that aside for the minute to make some wristwarmers for me and DD1, she wants some because they're 'cool' and i want some to stop my poor hands seizing up with the cold. Started on DD's first, 2 shades of purple and a fuschia pink
DH away in Paris overnight so just me and the littlies. I'm planning on bathing them and putting them all to bed and settling down to watch Downton Abbey and The Bletchley Circle tonight.

PAH (sorry, I always abbreviate your name wrong!) The Debenhams just off Tib street is one of my perpetual loo stops. I suppose it is a bit cheeky, but as you have to go all the way to the top floor, I get plenty of browsing in along the way:rotfl:0 -

fuddle :mad::mad::mad:
Mine recently did this lost a whole months worth of food. I was fuming. You where if am i can help in any way x
Well its been freezing in our house, my OH is going mad saying put the heating on. Err no we still owe over £300 to EDf so no chance.
Made a huge mistake DS1's trip thought it £50 instead its £155  Already paid the deposit and i really don't want to say no to him, as he's hoping the trip away will help him make new friends.
He had a rough start in Y7 due to malicious and ignorant stories being put about and only now in Y8 has the rest of form group even started saying hi instead of ignoring or laughing at him whenever he spoke. He's so chuffed because one child actually speaks to him and is also going on the trip. So belt tightening it is.
He knows he can't go on the Paris, no way can afford £470 for a 3 day break. I mean where do the school think were everyones getting the money from?!
On the plus side ds1's assenssment seems to speeding up quite nice and weve the first level of getting a statement :T:T for school.
Brrrr, sat here in my dressing gown shivering, not good.0
