Pretty much nothing done here, but then DH & I still both feel bleurgh. In fact DH has had to cancel an interview tomorrow so he doesn't cough and splatter all over the interview panel. Off to bed now at the grand old hour of 9.15.

My trolley is not as luxurious as yours but so happy to have it...the money I could have saved on taxi fares and shopping trips so much easier.

Just had two Aldi Minestrone cup a soups(first time)they were lovely...

The other day we talked of milk on this thread...

UHT, Fresh and powdered. I use them all but today 1ltr of semi skimmed in Tesco's works around 65p but for 70p I can have a carton of milk with added vitamins so for an extra 5p when I buy fresh milk I'm going to buy that instead.

Hope that you feel better soon. And you shake it off really quickly.

Think I should check when the flu jabs are happening at the Dr's surgery and restock the medicine cabinet(see what's out of date)

Plain black hoppa? That's mine :D

I've been debating whether to take it on the village street tomorrow as I need potatoes, onions and bleach. A North Eastern village front street where everyone has an opinion on everybody. I don't know whether I'm brave enough yet but it's going to save an awful lot of back ache. Nope, talked myself out of it. Weakling.

Going to go down after 11.30am to try to catch any reductions in the Coop.
  • ((((GQ)))) hope those antibiotics start to work very quickly and you feel more comfortable.

I think it might be worth the journey to Aldi to pick up their super six this week as would buy them. Never been to Aldi before. Can you buy as much you like - eg 3kg carrots or just one 39p each worth, just thinking could buy to dehydrate to make journey worthwhile.

Hugs and Love to all xxxx

:) G'wan, hun, take that Hoppa on the streets with pride. Sure, people will talk, but how interesting is a shopping trolley? They'll get bored and quickly move to something else.

And the second time it'll be It's that woman from number so-and-so, the one with the two little girls and her trolley......yawn.....seen that before.....yawn.........hey, have you heard about (insert name) and that (insert other name and expletive of choice) and the goat?!

:) When I took mine up the precinct for the first time, a chugger tried to waylay me with a friendly smile and said Hi! Are you running away from home? I smiled sweetly and said I was and was rushing to catch the bus (true) and bye!

Well Fuddle, if you stick to those few items you may be ok;)It may stop you being tempted by any other items on offer:pBut you do know that it wants you to take it shopping...

I came back mainly with...Muller Corners at half price today...some cartons of Tesco's own smoothies(I could make them here but not any cheaper)some salad stuff, milk, fruit, some little strawberry trifles...

I may never wear them and they'll need alteration and but bought two mens jackets at the CS for 99p each...one was a pinstripe, the other a very small check...

I used to have a pinstripe suit but it no longer fitted and my dad had a checked suit similar...if I buy one more I'll get a plain grey one...

  • YAY - Congrats FUDDLE on paying off the gas company, put out the flags, well done, make tea and generally have a celebrate, it's a red letter day and you should be very proud of yourself, Cheers (and lots of them) Lyn x.
Yes..Well done Fuddle, it's one less thing to worry about and with the amount of interest paid out on savings you're much better clearing outstanding debts...if you can put some of the money you were putting towards the gas towards the electric now that would soon disappear too, well done again xx

Just downloaded that advice re 10 veggies to grow over winter.....OH won't know what has hit him as we were rubbish with veggies this year and want to do better next. Means that square foot boxes will have to be cleared and filled up so he won't know what has hit him!

Thanks for bread pudding recipe, haven't made one for years....guess what we are having at weekend??
