Fuddle - I was quite shocked to see the primarni jimjams are now £8 a pair (ladies), the were only £5/6 last year.
I also noticed that Mr As potatoes that used to be 2 for £2 (2.5k bags) are now £2.50 for 2. Added to that a couple of other 10p here and 20p there rises and I'm sure people must be actually realising it now?"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
tax people are going after the SMALL sellers on ebay. Did used to be just the big fish but not any more. Be careful because technology is enabling them to pounce without all the research they use on the biggies

oh, amazon too. I sometimes sell on amazon but only used books I no longer want to keep. It will be sellers buying in to sell that will be the targets but even so who on earth wants tax office to delve into personal affairs to see if they are buying goods in at wholesale prices to sell at retail0 -
Hi everybody. Another lurker but I read all the posts everyday.
This may have been posted somewhere else but I have been to Tescos this afternoon & they have Fray Bentos tinned pies & puddings on offer for only £1.00 each. Bought a couple of each for my stores. Hope this may help someone on here.0 -

I'm sure that it will but I missed that offer when I was in
Though I did look at another site suggested somewhere on MSE by a poster My Supermarket and a page called soemthing like Savy tips and most if not all of Tesco's offers were listed...the first time I have and I'll do so again..."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Hi from another Lurker
Tudor rose - I love Fray Bentos Steak & Kidney pies - but noone else in my house does so I end up eating the whole tin .....not good for the old waist line.
Pooky - we all need new PJ's too - cant believe primark have got more expensive. Have a £5 off tesco clothing so might try them and pop in couple of (shhh) Christmas pressies to make it up.0 -
Aren't both amazon and ebay themselves registered in Luxembourg, so pay corporation tax over there on their UK trading, not in the UK where they're actually making those profits. Another shining example of all in this together.0

PJ's are even expensive in tesco and Asda.
People must be realising about the food rises now. I had my shopping delivered an hour ago. We realise the boob I had altering my order and finding that basics beans were not available... 35p a tin is what I have just paid for the next brand up. Only 9-10p extra I realise but when you buy 10tins of beans for the month that's an extra £1 just on beans. If every thing else goes up too, and more than a few pence my budget is going to be blown right out of the water. My budget will be blown right out of the water!
I have a decent store cupboard but it's no way in any shape to cushion us for the price rises. Very worried but I have known about it for ages. I'm thinking I should have done more but what? 3 months ago I didn't even have a stock of food so at least it's on a replacement basis to replenish instead of I need etc.
Oh heck! Also Worried about my DD, she's been teased because her coat is too big. My fault as I wanted to buy one that would last all winter. I just want to go out and buy a new one that actually fits now. I'm on the verge of crying. See, you think I'm this strong fighter but when I feel overwhelmed I crumble pretty quickly. Kettle time do you think? The best sticky plaster ever huh.0 -
(((fuddle)))) kids are always on the lookout for differences, if one wants to pick on another they will always find something. Its hard to get a bigger size right, not to big so its to obvious but big enough for growing room. Even at the school my lot were at, which I assure you was full of wealthy pampered kids, on first cold day all turned up in coats that were a bit big and this was during 1980s when things were not to bad but even those parents saw the sense in that. Either the parents of the children teasing your little one have lots of money or come January or sooner those children are going to be freezing as chances are they will have outgrown their coats and parents no money to buy new ones.
Can you hem it loosely and same with sleeves so when its taken down there won't be a mark.
Give her a hug from aunty PAH.Need to get back to getting finances under control now kin kid at uni as savings are zilch

(((hugs))) Fuddle. Our DDs are both sensitive little flowers aren't they? Yesterday DD cried for about 2 hrs when she came home because her 'best' friend has been talking about a sleepover party and was discussing (in front of both DD and the other girl) which one she was going to invite. She chose the other girl.
It will all pass. if you can't alter the coat, think of a good rejoinder for her to give the teasers. When DD was being told she was wierd for having granary bread sandwiches, we thought up lots of replies and she used them I think. It hasn't stopped other kids calling her wierd but it seems to have stopped her being bothered about it.0 -
I toddled out today on my own, thought normal things are not to bad, (pain etc) so go for it,felt I should, but er although money was put on cc its gone. Cool Trader was having a happy hour, nearly everything half the price shown and they are fairly cheap anyway. I er um and heaven knows where its all going to go spent a lot and now waiting for it to be delivered. Never known a food shop do such a thing before. You had to complete your purchase within the hour and I arrived 10 mins into it.
So going to have to completely empty freezers and pack them very carefully.
What I got a lot of was unsalted butter, not sure if it was reduced but was 75p per 250g anyway, a price which is good. Cheapest I find on my travels which I admit are not very farm is £1.19 in Mr S and I prefer butter to marg.
Also popped into fruit and veg shop and now have apples and apricots dehydrating. Tomorrow will do onions and turnip.
So have to wait for laptop to be fixed but had to put food first I just could not pass up the prices and I only bought what I would do just a bit more of it.
Hugs and Love to all xxxNeed to get back to getting finances under control now kin kid at uni as savings are zilch
