Vjs mum have a great time and when you get time research grapefruit seed extract . Hopefully you will not need it but it is useful to know about.
I forgot about this, someone recommended it when dgd had constant bouts of sickness. It actually would be useful in an emergency kit.0 -
pah I'm learning that lesson right now. I took 2 sennocot last night because I was uncomfortable with the 'incomplete emptying'
Thanks for that definition Lin
Right now my tummy is sore and looking forward to getting the kids off to school and hunting out my hot water bottle. I've ordered prune juice with my shopping that is due this evening so from now on no more laxitives. I just hate thrashing about not knowing what to do for the best. I like to know things and be proactive. When I know what to do, I'll cope just fine.
Anyway, amongst all this I have lost 2lbs :j
The good news is that I don't have my neice today :j Eeek, that's not nice is itMy sister wanted her husband to drop her off at 7.30am. I said fine but could she please make sure that she was dressed and had breakfast as mornings are hectic and I wont have time with getting my two sorted for school. She said not to bother and that she'll just keep her because that will mean she would have to get up early to get her ready for me.... she must think I'm a right mug although DH said, nah take it as a compliment - she thinks you're wonder woman
I'm going to make gingerbread men myself today and enjoy some creative paceful time.0 -
Fuddle may be TMI but Lactulose is much more - how shall I put it - *gentle*. Get yourself a bottle.0

Morning All
Fuddle - as I learned to my cost, ready-to-eat dried apricots are simply wonderful at getting things moving - perhaps I should not have eaten quite so many. I know MiL used to buy the dried fruit salad and cook it and had it with breakfast every day. And yes, keep up the fluid intake, the gut needs it to make sure everything is kept soft and bulky, which helps with the movement through (sorry TMI!).
And don't worry about the fact you don't want to have to deal with other peoples kids - you have enough to do without others (even sisters) dumping their problems on you!
The living room is almost habitable again, over the last few weeks it had become something of a dumping ground and was generally tip-like. We had to clear up and we have a lady coming today to see Mr C, he has volunteered to deliver meals on wheels for the WRVS - so has to have a CRB check done.
Made the mock lemon curd yesterday, it is nice but a bit sweet for us, so will need to find a way to use it up that cuts through that. I did make me think of other things that could be made in a similar way, bulking out with marrow or courgette, so might look into that, it must have been done already!Think big thoughts but relish small pleasures0 -
*wants to find a way to get myself on the WRVS list for meals on wheels and can I book a chicken supper every day please*0

Well done Fuddle for sticking to your guns, was sis around to babysit when you were expecting your second daughter, somehow I think answer will be no. I should have done what you did when younger instead of not getting a backbone and saying no till I started being ill, would have caused so much less upset as they would not have had 40 years approx of big sister always doing for them.
Well had some breakfast just cornflakes but not feeling the best at all, no sickish just bleh:o Maybe was heading for something and why I went to sleep yesterday. For me fibro and ME make me lack energy but usually that has me lying in bed but not sleeping during the day. Whole body feels now not quite right so will not be toddling off out on my own as with not driving now it means will have to wait around for taxis, and if feel urg not good. Ah well can put money on card tomorrow. Did have a on-line shop booked for tomorrow but unless hubby is home before place we top up cc closes I will have to cancel it as Mr S I have found tends to take the money about two hours before shop is delivered and so if put money on tomorrow will not be on in time as due between 10-11am and I cannot put it on till 9am annoying
I feel as if I have a cold, but haven't, nose is fine, not blocked or runny but just feel like that. Am lucky I rarely get actual illness even colds. Before I had gall bladder out was always getting colds, pleurisy etc., but that was 20 years ago since then can count on one hand actual illnesses. I know many with Fibro/ME find the opposite but for me doesn't affect me that way, can only assume I have thankfully a robust immune system.
Will start taking some echinachea in case am heading for something.
Enough self pity.
Anyone any ideas where I could pick up a cheap pc tower or netbook so I can send this laptop off to be fixed as I need to re-install windows again ( have to do it every 6 weeks ) and its not quite a year old yet and using on-screen keyboard for T and Y is not doing much for my blood pressure. I seem to need to type them for every word or other one and the stopping and starting of typing is not calming and I have all the store cupboard stuff to type up but can't while having to type like this. Just typing here is bad enough.
Hugs and Love to allxxxNeed to get back to getting finances under control now kin kid at uni as savings are zilch

PAH you could try for a PC tower on freecycle as they seem to get listed relatively often on mine - i think they don't have that good a resale value now everyone wants laptops. I imagine everyone goes for them though. Do you have a recycle shop near you? Ours sells them, it's a charity shop based at the tip so they get everything which is too good to throw away.0

Yeah, ditto to that for my group. You can't give 'em away. I have a desktop PC and I will aim to have another when this one eventually karks it (10 years old this month, whoo-whoo) as they are excellent anti-theft devices.
I'm mean, this monitor weights 21 kg and has zero cash value, and you'd get nowt for the tower, either, so even if someone burgles me, I feel they'd leave this kit behind. The fact that it's putty-coloured gives away it's age.
I've even toyed with the idea of a stealth "new" PC by having all new kit in the existing tower when it comes to it (this PC won't be able to run the lastest version of Windows so will have to upgrade when XP isn't supported any more). I shall discuss with the Computer Wizard, who likes doing odd stuff. He's already pimped this one with more chips than Mr Fry.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

I got my elderly Aunt a computer from these chaps, with qualifying benefits it was very cheap and the support was very good, http://www.getonlineathome.org/C.R.A.P.R.O.L.L.Z Able Archer0

Mrs C. I've got a recipe for a lemon dribble erm I mean drizzle cake made with courgettes. It's a rather strange colour but quite tasty. I'll dig it out and post it on here later.
Need to sort out B&B and then go to work first.
