I bought 3 of those pork shoulder joints, have cut one up and it will do the 4 of us for 5 meals, so well worth getting. I'm going to get more before it finishes on Sunday, despite having zero space in the freezer! it's very money saving in the long term.

Thanks, my nearest Morries is 30 miles away, which is a shame otherwise I'd have got some.

Mind you I have 2 pork joints, not sure what kind they are :o, well can't remember, which I got as YS items. Put away for Christmas.
Did I mention the C word?!

fuddle thank you for that picture. I have a tray from an old combi microwave and that has folding legs and is very sturdy but with a solid tray not wire. I refused to throw it because it is in such good nick. I have used it a few times to put cooked food on off the bbq but now I know what it will be best used for.

She was always either hanging out the windows cleaning them or on her knees at the front door scrubing the step.

Ooh I loved scrubbing the step for my mum, so satisfying. Reminds me of a welsh friend, her mum was poor and everyone had a joint on sunday but she couldn`t afford one but still made sure the neighbours saw her sharpening her carving knife on the step.

Windows, I just had a flashback. I used to clean the windows as a child, sash windows in a terraced house, sitting on the cill legs on the outside and window drawn down to reach on the inside and then the reverse for the outside. No elf and safety then. Also grew up playing on bomb sites

Oh I'm sure you will love Nella...:D

with everyone writing !!!!!!, I keep thinking it means something else...:p;)

    Me too :rotfl:

DD is back from school and is happy with the arrangements. She said she hasn't made up her mind but is happier that she has the chance to choose based on more knowledge and a little experience.

Am decluttering with a vengeance and organising my store cupboard. Found lots of coffee and some green tomato chutney from last year - good job as I don't think there'll be any this year, and 2 boxes of tea bags I didn't know I had.
I wanna be in the room where it happens

fuddle - thats fab, i showed DH and said I want to have a go, he told me to light the chiminea and stand the camping kettle on top....he's no fun!

Two more demijohns of wine "blopping" away, bendy veg and barley mix soup all portioned up for the freezer, 5kilos of potatoes peeled and chopped ready to cook and mash later (far to hot here at the mo for cooking) 4 kilos of chicken bits cooked early this morning in the halogen, cooled and pulled apart to make cat food (I make a nice jelly stock and add shredded chicken, rice, peas and carrots, a bit of cod liver oil over the chicken too and they wolf it down, great for their coats and helps with any hair balls on the long haired ones)

Just sat in the shade (still far to hot) and tore up all the scrap paper for paper brick making. Will leave it soaking over night.

I really don't know how I ever had time to go to work. Now off to orthodontist with DD2 and then it's pjs and relax time.

Very excited. I think I have sourced rose hip. I'm looking in food for free MrsL, the description is correct but I think I need a second (hundred!) opinion. Going back out there for a look and a photo. I hope so, I've read that rose hip is brimming with vitamin c.

I can still remember the taste of Rose Hip Syrup, it was lovely!
The RV has had a setback in his diabetes, his blood sugar is far too high and now that I've got a good stash of food in it seems like he won't be able to eat some of it. But we will see. I'm having to go upto Costco and Sainsbugs tonight to buy a load of salady stuff to live on for a week :(
