    Hey ho!

You seem to be in such a muddle over your utility companies I definately cant advise you cos to be honest I dont really understand how you now have 3 suppliers..!!.....You will give yourself a headache over this lot if you dont get to sort it Tuesday...............

Been super nice agan today, we did have half hour rain at 7 this morning it just dampened the dust for a bit, but its been a lovely drying day.....

Ive been gardening most of today, trying to cut back spent flowers, and do a bit of digging but the ground is rock hard like concrete, so ive given up on that until we do get a nice long rain..............Had loads of runner beans out of my 2 pots ive grown them in, really good crop this year............Nice lot of tomatoes too, I dont have a greenhouse so I grew them in pots ,luckily our back garden is all south facing so its hot all the time, good for growing..........

I havent a clue whats been going on on this thread as about 6 to 7 pages go daily and I cant seem to catch up, I dont come on here during the day , and when I do come on here evenings im struggling to stay awake, cos im usually tucked up by 9 pm...!!.

Got some lovely orange pippin apples soon ready to pick as well, branches are hanging low with the weight of the fruit.............My victoria plum tree didnt give even one fruit this year, but apparently its not a good year for plums........

Well summer hols nearly over, children go back September 5 here,at least the school uniforms are cheaper now adays because you can buy them from supermarkets, years a go you had just the one shop that sold uniforms and it wasnt cheap..............

    Hey ho!

What thread pops? Maybe I have missed something I blame the drugs!!:rotfl::rotfl:

Spiky and D&DD have decided not to bother with school stuff for either of them at the very least they will missing for the first week (three days as school starts on Weds) so I will have plenty of time to grab the necessary stuff while others are at school.

Fuddle - they look gorgeous, will save the recipe for when I am more compus mentis!

We had a thread asking why the OS boards had changed so much and some think the thread was upsetting, perhaps it's just me, I have seen worse on MSE and elsewhere.

The daily thread then went on to discuss similar topics today what "that" thread and the boards in general had been criticised over...ho hum!

Shegar - alot of schools still have logo stuff that is only available form one shop. DD6 school have logo polo shirts and jumpers and the shop is appalling quality, I managed to find a much better supplier years ago when the eldest two were there so buy her jumpers/cardigans from there instead but they cost £9.50 each, polo shirts I buy plain from supermarkets as I refuse to pay £7.95 per polo when I can buy 3 for £5 from Asd@

DS14 current school have had three uniforms since he has been there!! Which is a logo PE kit £15 for shorts and £35 for top, logo PE socks £10
Blazer you could buy a badge for £5 and sew yourself but the new uniform is fully embroidered as it also has a piping around the edge - £40.
    New tie cost £8.95.
And as DS is autistic he regularly "loses" his stuff even though its labelled so we have had to buy him 15 pairs of PE shorts this year and I gave up on the socks after the tenth pair.
Again the quality from the supplier is appalling, at least we used to be able to buy a good blazer from M&S and sew the logo which would last, the school supplier stuff is lucky to last a term.
School have very strict uniform code and kids cannot wear coats, hats gloves etc even in winter, uniform is checked on yard and anyone not right gets sent home no exception.

DD17 had her shoes taken after PE when she was there and I couldnt buy new ones for a few days, sent her in in trainers with a note and she was bounced home until I got her shoes.

    Shegar,
If BG is cancelled on Tuesday all is well and I am with NPower where I was already, it was easy to cancel First Utility...

N Power prices fixed tariff until October 2013...I'll just have to accept what gas and electric cost these days and hope I can afford it even if I cut back and wear lots of clothes and fleeces...

I think Aldi on Thursday are selling a small grill/oven as a special and a tiny sewing machine...Lidl have some offers too but I have forgotten what they are...but I think I have all I need at present and who knows what may come in nearer Christmas...

Gas and elect cost so much. At the turn of the year we owed £500 in over gas usage. I have that down to just £140 now and want to be evens by the end of the year. It has took so much to pay that off that I understand exactly that heating now is a luxury... But I thnk my lucky stars that I have never seen an icicle on the inside of the window. My grandma had and often.
