Ooh I like Twiggy.
just making a potato and bacony cheesy bake and some carrot and sweet potato soup. But as usual my children are far too desperately starving to wait that long. How can they always be hungry?!0 -

It kills Slugs too!
I hope you won't mind me sticking my oar in, but they only list insects that we'd regard as pests or nasty in some way, but given its effectiveness it would presumably also kill all the beneficial insects and softbodied creatures that came into contact with it - worms, garden beetles and centipedes etc. which are vital to soil health and ecological balance. Sorry to be a worry wart!I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

Hollow Legs, it's a well known fact you can't possibly fill up hollow legs until they are at least 21!!!!!!0

Malifore, regarding your losing weight try the website My Fitness Pal(Fuddle told me about it)
I put foods into my own diet plan and tells me how much I am likely to lose...you can stay as private as you wish or join in with others...
I don't want to lose weight just maintain what I am approx 8 stone...I have lost weight though as medicine and my condition did see me put weight on but eating less has made a difference..."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Citizens afraid of government is tyranny!" ~Thomas Jefferson

well it would explain a lot......but it means I have a LOT of cooking ahead of me.0 -
:heartpuls I'm ashamed to say that I have fallen in lurve with a racy black and white Rolson at a local department store.
Frisky-looking beastie, isn't it? I could get 4.5 cheapies off the market for the same price but having examined the cheapies and the Rolson and I can see why they're cheap. Still, I have to give myself a good talking to; I have present money from 2 years ago which I haven't spent so there is the money but I'm so accustomed to scrimping that it feels somehow WRONG to spend on myself.Feel a lot more comfy with the 800g of beef mince whoopsied down to £1.59 which I've divvied up into 2 lots which will each form the basis of a big pot of chilli, with lots of beans and probably oats/ lentils, and feed me for days......
I shall sleep on it then decide (I've already decided, really). What d'you think I should call her (keep it clean pls)?
That is indeed a frisky looking beastie. The money you need to purchase it is however an investment not an impulse buy.
It will help you get said whoopsies home for many years and it will help with your health not carrying the heavy things.
I've got a skanky old tartan square jobbie that I've had for 15 years and although it looks like something from a museum now it is still perfectly servicable although a bit tattly ( well a lot really if I am truthful)
I couldn't do without mine as carrying so much as a handbag gives me backache. ( I would love a good leather handbag, but I couldn't lift it off the floor empty these days! ) Go for it, you won't regret it for a moment.0 -

I found this statement near the bottom of the page
"Diatom is not harmful to Earthworms since they are structurally different from insects. "
I will have a look about other things and will ask some questions on the group to find out what they say about other insects etc.0 -

I used to have those. My nickname in the family was The Gannet. Was always active and slim and everyone marvelled at where all the food was going.
Sadly, I still have the same eating habits but not the metabolism so the hollow legs have filled up and become considerably more insulated on the outside. I can safely say that in the event of a mini Ice Age I shall be well-equipped to survive on my own lard.:rotfl:
So many witty names for the trolley, I'm stuck for which one to choose. I'll wait for some more and draw one out of the hat, probably. Feel the urge to splurge tomorrow. I seldom shop in proper shops (i.e. not c.s. or the discount chains) so it will be a wee treat.......am I sad or am I saaaaadddddddd.:pEvery increased possession loads us with a new weariness.
