GQ How is the trolley shopping going? Have you found the one of your dreams?

:heartpuls I'm ashamed to say that I have fallen in lurve with a racy black and white Rolser at a local department store.

Frisky-looking beastie, isn't it? I could get 4.5 cheapies off the market for the same price but having examined the cheapies and the Rolser and I can see why they're cheap. Still, I have to give myself a good talking to; I have present money from 2 years ago which I haven't spent so there is the money but I'm so accustomed to scrimping that it feels somehow WRONG to spend on myself.

:o:p Feel a lot more comfy with the 800g of beef mince whoopsied down to £1.59 which I've divvied up into 2 lots which will each form the basis of a big pot of chilli, with lots of beans and probably oats/ lentils, and feed me for days......

I shall sleep on it then decide (I've already decided, really). What d'you think I should call her (keep it clean pls)?

GQ, Rafe, as it looks like a Giraffe...:D

Rafe \r(a)-fe\ as a boy's name is pronounced rayf. It is of Old German origin, and the meaning of Rafe is "counsel of the wolf". From Raedwulf. The wolf is known for being crafty. Also used as a short form of Ralph or Raphael.

Rafe Rolson sounds a bit Hollywood ish...

    My logic stretches somewhat.
  • GQ How about Lumley after Joanna, cos shes elegant and a bit exotic looking - the trolley of course!!!

:D You are clever! Rafe Rolson sounds like a p0rn star name to me. I was so distracted that I forgot to prep the tatties so am having steamed veg with my corned beef. I'm trialling a tin of Sainsbugs Basics c.beef to see if it's edible (highly) before socking some into the storecupboard. The things I do.........:rotfl:

    PS Monnagran, I am boring!

    GQ

That is one smart looking trolley!!! I am cough - a bit older than you but dds have implored me not to get a trolley. Think if they saw yours they might not be so scathing.

Making cream of mushroom soup tonight with two trays of basic mushrooms and some single cream etc,. Went for rolls and bread and sausages are finishing cooking with the last of the home grown tatties boiling away.

Spent most of the morning looking for bathroom bits and looking for glass blocks - finally found them at a b and * that had ordered them specially for a customer who then changed their mind so going to collect them tomorrow and not only get them at reduced price but get a 10% discount on top because of DH's age.

How about Jersey Queen for the trolley?
