    I've been Money Tipped!
Really pleased for you Fuddle! Life is so much better when you have lovely things to look forward to! :)

Well today is the big day! Eeek!!! Having banged my head yesterday I now have to go to dentists and lay on that very sore head (I am not concussed - dh a first aider checked) and have a tooth pulled and then a dental implant put in! I cancelled last app when I got ill and then put it off while I recovered from a ruptured ligament in my foot, so I can't cancel again! I have painkillers ready and am all set up with my granny squares production line as soon as I feel up to it. The diet of soft foods is all ready, plenty of home made soups, potatoes and cheese for cheesy mash and lots of soft mousse, yogurts etc.

    Roll on next week!

It looks like the storm will miss my cousin and her family in Savannah but not sure about her brother in North Carolina!
They are used to the big storms down south just hope they are as prepared in the north this time. I will stop complaining about our cold weather for now!

Hope everyone has a good day make doing and mending!

    Catz x

    Oh FUDDLE!!!! :j:j:j
GQ yud be surprised what people do for the love of knitting ... just reading on Ravelry of the adventures of a group who went up to Lerwick for Shetland Wool Week - these ladies were from USA, Italy, Holland, and even Brazil :D
(you can tell the Brazilians and Italians in the pics - they're the ones who look absolutely FROZEN) :rotfl::rotfl:but they are all booking for next year already. If I ever get any money then I'll go too, always wanted to see Shetland .
edited - just remembered one was from Alaska too.

:jWhat fantastic news, Fuddle! So lovely that this relative's generosity will give your family a break and give you a chance to fulfil a longheld ambition.

And you're absolutely right to share your happy news; I'm sure we're all chuffed for you. You can take a pic of two of the lovely scenery and stick it on the thread when you come back so we can all have a drool.

Unexciting day here; going to work and then to the Post Office. Visiting the P.O. is an ordeal; you hear colleagues say at lunchtime that they're going and the understanding is that it can easily take all their lunch hour in the queue.

If I don't reappear this evening, you'll know where I'll be.

:D Have a good day, everyone.

I'm lucky - my post office is a wee van driven by a nice lady who knits in between the very few customers. We talk knitting :D She must cover a lot of miles as it wanders all over the place and we get it twice a week.

Fuddle, you need to scroll down to later days (unless you like crochet!) but this is the blog of a very recent craft week run in Provence, with some fabulous photos of several of the surrounding villages.

Lovely news Fuddle. Could I just second Possessions comment of "it's a long time on a coach". Having travelled from the edge of Kent to Paris via coach (twice) I won't do it again. That took 7 hours including the tunnel and a rest stop and that really was bad enough.

I do appreciate though that if it's the only way you can get to have your dream holiday that you'll endure anything, I just wanted to give you a "heads up"

I'm still coughing up various internal organs, or so it seems but feel more mentally alert today. I'm even considering getting dressed!!!

Im so lucky as regards the Post Office. I drive a mile out of our little market town to a beautifully situated PO. It is set on a green and I sit and take in the view. Generally no queues and very good service although quite busy. It just missed the Post Office cuts so very lucky x

I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
