Don't forget to put the clocks back tonight...
Loads of cleaning, tidying and sorting done today, and stuff out to charity (and the bin!) too. Tired but happy.
We are having a celebratory Chinese takeaway with a bottle of wine DH's parents dropped round for us (looks expensive!). DD has been talking about it all day. And watching Strictly of course.

I am having a night off, have had a ridiculously busy day but now have a superb tidy garage loft, garage and house loft. Plus 2 dinners prepped
Now time for doing nothing but slobbing on the sofa.
Did find thermals and my heaters foot warmers fantastic.

Had a lovely example of old fashioned courtesy, so rare nowadays. I placed a small order for ribbon from an online company I have used before and yesterday got a phonecall from the owner. One of the ribbons i ordered was out of stock - did I want to wait, have a different colour, or take 2 half lengths? I took the half lengths, which were 3 metres in total and I only ordered 2 metres plus she popped in a free pack of embroidery needles for my trouble - how nice in these times. :)

DGs and Oh wrapped in a blanket snoozing on the couch, alls quiet in ginny world for a little while.

Sounds nice and cozy Ginny, sounds like a good company too!! :)
  • Evening everyone, I've read up to p495 and will catch up on the rest tomorrow, so sorry if I don't mention anything I should. Had a lovely few days away looking after the pinnypig and with DD1 when she came back. He who knows came up for us with the Dockling yesterday and back home now, which is also lovely. It's been a beautiful but very cold day and we have lit the fire and are waiting for supper to finish cooking. FUDDLE - pleased that the LL finally sorted out the Loo for you and that the dehumidifier is making life more comfortable too. Hope you have found your balance again and having read your last post it sounds as if you have, Good Girl, knew you would!!! Hope all the poorlies are on the mend, seem to have had a coldy thing for the past week but other than being very coughy it's mostly gone now, will post properly tomorrow but just wanted to say Hi to everyone, Cheers Lyn xxx.

Car still not fixed but we may be one step closer - but it still involves an ice cream man and an electrician with isshews:rotfl::rotfl:

My mum not happy with her bathroom, its leaking! And it turns out she bought a beautiful attractive tap - which she cant work properly with her hands and arthuritis! Why on earth she didnt test it first I have no idea.:D

Mrs LW - good to have you home as it were and lovely that you enjoyed yourself. :)

Possession - enjoy you all deserve it :)

DD has a party to go to tonight which means I am on taxi duty, she is not very happy I am picking her up early (11.30) but OH at work in morning so will be in bed - am taking a chance leaving them as it is.

Am busy trying to avoid Halloween and all thing Halloween, DD6 has been invited to a party and we have said no, cue teenage tantrum, she may only be six but she throws the best teenage tantrum I have seen! :D Planning on packing everyone up and going to see Blackpool lights straight from school which should mean we avoid all the trick or treaters, I wish there was a sign you could put up which people would actually read and leave knocking at your door.

I've had my first payslip. I've been taxed. I thought wages under a certain amount aren't taxed? I don't hit £2000 per year.

Fuddle you need to ask the school office for a P46 form, which will be then sent to the pay office and then HMRC who will issue you with a code.
Unless you have had a P45 since 6 Apr 2012 then you should take that in.
