Can you recommend some please?

Sorry I hadn't been back to this thread since my first comment.
A few that the hubby and I have, erm, enjoyed!

I've only read extracts of Fifty Shades, not the whole book, so I don't know if books such as those above are more explicit/extreme. I'm taking no responsibility for any offence caused.

I've got to page 400 and I can't read any more. Does he ever do anything worthwhile? Does she ever sign anything?
This is worse than Gor.
I did like the first half of the book, especially when Ana's character was developing, I don't like damaged Mr Grey and the implications which develop from that.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -
I get displeased with the implication that he likes BDSM because he's damaged and needs fixing, and his ex does because she's mentally unstable...perfectly normal, healthy people like it too!!

I wasnt going to read this book either until I discovered that you can download the first book for free on wattpad.com. Since I am heavily pregnant just now and have run out of energy I dont mind wasting the odd half hour of my time every now and again to read a bit of it although I must admit every time anastacia says 'oh my' is really starting to annoy me. A much better way to waste my time is my new addiction to songpop on my ipod!My opinion is neither copyrighted nor trademarked, and it's price competitive. If you like, I'll trade for one of yours.0

such badly written books - if i have to read about what "my inner goddess" or my "subsoncious" is telling the protaginist any more then i will not be held responsible for my actions!
I was given the set as a present by a friend who obviously thought my life needed spicing up but will not be reading this badly written rubbish beyond the first one.
it's not the content i have any issues with - just the way its written!S.A.D and proud

I was soooooo dissapointed when I finished all 3 books, it gets to a climax then doesn't follow through with the climax and just ends....What's yours is mine and what's mine is mine..0

I've just read the first book. Well that's six hours of my life I won't be getting back. What a complete waste of time.
It was written as though it was written by a teenager for teenagers. Agree with the poster who said it was as though they were afraid to use the real terms for genitals. What's with her going on about her "sex"?
Poorly written, no story, and Ana has to be the most pathetic, wishy washy character I've ever come across.
And to top it all, the sex scenes were so badly written that they didn't turn me on in the slightest, they just irritated me.
Suffice to say, I won't be reading the other books.0 -

sounds like real sex and not sex with mr grey! lol
i've just started book three as i just want to know how it all ends , i'm skim reading it really not paying much attention to the 'oh my' 'looks up from under his/her lashes' etc. the sex scenes are ridiculous with the endless and almost instant orgasms and she can also come on command too , very clever?!
I hope no virgin ladies are reading it thinking thats what real sex is like! they'll be in for some serious dissaponment!!! :rotfl:0 -
This book angers me hugely for a variety of different reasons......but I do love http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hLN0b6OQor4 this YouTube video

I downloaded book one on my Kindle for £3.09, I was intrigued by the hype (because it was rude..I never bothered with the hype of twilight or hunger games!). I've never read a dirty book before so thought what the hell.
Book 1 bored me most of the way through actually. I thought the concept was weak...a sex contract just seemed ludicrous. However, I kept reading out of boredom on the morning commute and 70% in I suddenly started to enjoy it. I've just finished book 2 and will be getting the 3rd instalment too. It's not ground breaking, there is alot of repetition and the sex scenes become tedious after a while but underneath it some of the story does intrigue me. There's plenty of parts I don't like but I don't feel like I have wasted my time reading it and overall I am glad I did0
