MFW Diary.....before moving in!!!

Morning all...looks like another day of beautiful weather :j:j
spent a little last night (have just updates spending post on pg f2 for the week), went to M0rrisons for some flowers for a friend and also bought another few bits and pieces that I needed including stuff for todays lunch and maybe some rolo mousse things becasue they were on offer and are delicious!! ooops!!!!
Anyway, the spending diary post is really showing me where the money goes, a lot of it is little top up shops mid week, at the moment, living between two houses (that are incidental not that near to each other) means that planning is quite tricky....as is trying to get room in freezers / fridges etc!! Anyway....2 and a half weeks ish to the move and then will only be staying at my flat (with bf stopping there) which will hopefully mean I can plan and batch cook a bit better.
As long as I come in under or on the £100 every week then that is fine as that is the amount I budget for petrol and food shopping (with a £15 pw contribution from bf for food shopping) but would like to stop wasting money and all the stop off's i do! More money I can refrain from saying, is more money i can OP!
So have lots of plans for this weekend....Going to make my list and then hopefully be able to cross lots off on monday!!!

Quite a productive day today as you can see from my to do list!!
All done apart from eBaying which I will do tomorrow.
Apart from food shopping I think I will give the shopping at idea and pound land a miss tomorrow, not going to have enough time!
Earned the mighty sum of £3.14 at the clothes recycling place...then spent that in Aldo for some bits for tea....will need to dig out receipts and update spending diary for the week but will pretty much have broke even!
Lovely day of weather hear....clothes drying on the line all day today :j:j
Hope all are having a good weekend....will hopefully be updating with more 'done's' tomorrow!!x2019 Totals: Savings: £929.53 / Mortgage OP - £746.32

Well done on your productive day, would you say you brought many clothes? i have 4 smallish binbags to go just wondering what to expect.DEC GC £463.67/£450
EF- £110/COLOR]/£10000 -
It was 10kg in total and they paid 30 p per kilo so not a great amount but better than nothing for holey clothes!
Mine was an ikea bag full of clothes!2019 Totals: Savings: £929.53 / Mortgage OP - £746.32

Also meant to tell about my whoopsi find....had some fresh squid yesterday in the whoopsi section, started at 5.75 (there is a lot!) and down to 39p!
Now just got to decide what to do with it...think either paella or seafood spaghetti with a tomato/chilli sauce....hmmm decisions decisions!2019 Totals: Savings: £929.53 / Mortgage OP - £746.32

Another early start and quite a productive morning!
As a result the Ikea trip is back on as I should not be short on time as I saved some time by doing food shopping before gym!
Bf wanted to go out for dinner but I talked him into staying in instead and I will cook some duck breasts that my mom bought us!
Planned the squid into meal plan for the week....squid risotto which then the bf decided to extend to prawn and mussel risotto....which means it not quite such a cheap meal after all having now got to buy some prawns!
Finding the spending diary is really helping show where my money goes...mainly on food top up shops....me thinks better planning and greater will power to stick to the plan is needed!
It's only 3 weeks until we are in the flat which is when I hope to see a great improvement in planning and a reduction in waste and money spent!
The flat is also within walking distance of an Aldi which is a lot better than the current closest shop....a very expensive and posh spar type shop!
Part of me was sad to be downgrading my area to a certain degree but from a local shop perspective it will be great!
Hope all are having a great weekend!xx2019 Totals: Savings: £929.53 / Mortgage OP - £746.32

Hi Laura I've enjoyed reading your diary so far. It's getting so much closer to your moving in date now.
I am having no spend days too but that is to increase our deposit for when we want to apply for a mortgage in November. The weather has indeed been gorgeous. It makes you feel happier.
Good luck on your journey

Thanks amy...i feel doing a feel doing a diary is keeping me focused!!
Do you have one for your savings? Good luck!!!
Well after my positive post yesterday morning it all sort of went to pot
Went to ikea....was ages there and then a bit of a family issue meant we did end up going out for dinner...not too bad, 2 for 1 place so a tenner each (me and bf).
But this meant that i didnt do any more of the ebay pics and listings, which is not good. So that is my task for this week - got to get these things listed soon!!!
EDIT - just read this back and realised I'm blaming Ikea and the fact we went out for dinner on not doing any more ebay stuff....that not entirely true...i might of also had a small nap in the afternoon when back from ikea which i suppose could also be partly to blame!!!!!:rotfl::rotfl:
Will update spending post diary in a min but have about £10 left in my purse to do me until wednesday...not great, but not over so that is the name of the game!!
def decided on those chairs for the flat, but am keeping an eye on ebay aswell as I dont mind pre owned ones...as long as they are those specific chairs! 2 listings, one that is just the 4 chairs, starting bid at 99p and looks like only a 3 day listing, and another listing of 4 chairs and a table....which I dont dislike, for a buy it now of £120.
The 'BIN' one is a lot nearer to me, so fired off some questions to the seller last night and recieved his response this morning, all fine....when to click buy it now and it has now been changed to an auction format :mad:
So have asked him what Buy it now price he would take, and am also keeping an eye on these chairs...whilst they are a fair distance away from me, the short listing time makes me think / hope that they don't get too much attention. Need to do some workings out later on with petrol etc to decide upon my final price limits for both. However is table and chairs man comes back to me with a reasonable BIN price...i will take him up on that!
god....what will I witter on about when I finally have the table and chairs??!!!
Hope everyone had a great weeknd.....and the monday blues arent too bad!!!:D2019 Totals: Savings: £929.53 / Mortgage OP - £746.32

well my wittering looks like it may be coming to an end...have settled a buy it now price for the chairs (chairs only...not the one that was the table and chairs set) with the seller and have bought them :j:j:j
He asked for £130, so half the price they are in the shops and i work it to be about £40 of petrol down there!
Doing it this way means i get to pick the table I want and still be well under budget!!:beer::beer::beer::beer:
Going to pick them up on sunday hopefully!2019 Totals: Savings: £929.53 / Mortgage OP - £746.32
