Have just had some fantastic news that the house that is up for sale (and some of the money will come to me) has had an offer .... Well two in fact made on it!

This would mean the first buy money is sorted, I could clear a loan I have that is 160 pm and put the rest in a fixed locked away high interest account until me and the bf are ready and in a position to buy our family home.

Fingers toes eyes and everything is crossed....this would enable me to fully concentrait on overpaying and have just been playing with the op calculator....if I could op by 300pm which is more than feasible whilst we live there, less so when it becomes a rental, the mortgage could be cleared in 11 years, 16 years and 9 months ealy and saving 29k in interest :j:j:j

Not counting my chickens just yet but I have everything crossed!!!

Well a nsd yesterday (good seeing as I had no money in purse!)

Offer accepted on the family members house this morning so fingers crossed everything gets sorted with that fairly quick....the people buying have already sold and almost about to exchange on theres so want to move quick as well!!! :j:j

Have just drawn out my £100 to last the week....forgot that i had sent £20 over to the credit card to chip away the balance on that before it gets cleared in full. will have to make that up somewhere along the way.

Am going to keep the next post as a little spending diary for the weekly £100, i think it will shock me as to how i fritter it away...especially at the moment as not paying for my own main food shop (but am still paying for the little weekly top up's).

Just spent the first part of it in Mr T as I had not prepared well and bought any lunch today :mad: must do better!!

Got to pop to aldi for some dinner stuff for tonight and tomorrow, i seem to plan meals for the week and then change them mid week meaning more shopping is needed.....def need to sort this out.

Wednesday = Weekly Petrol fill up in my world, will be doing at Tesco to save the points but still too expensive for my liking!

Am bidding on the chairs on ebay, the table and chairs set went for the BIN price, so now hoping I win the chairs on there own. Currently the highest bidder at £75ish, It will mean a drive to manchester but that not too much of a problem and with the petrol it will still be cheaper than buying 4 brand new for £65 each :eek:
auction ends about 7 this evening so fingers crossed they dont rise in value too much!!! I think £120 is my limit....a that price even with petrol it would still be a fairly good saving!

Nothing else to report really, hope all are well!!

  • Hi, you've got so much enthusiasm, it's infectious! We also made small OPs right from the first year of getting our mortgage and it really helps in the long run.

Just a few ideas I had while reading your posts:

Have you tried preloved/freeloved/freecycle for furniture? We've had a few good items off there that set us up when we first moved in.

Can you buy 2litre bottles of Pepsi Max and decant to a smaller sports bottle to get your morning fix?

Although Tesco points are nice, have a look at petrolprices.com to find the cheapest fuel in your area (search your home and work postcodes!). Often a cheaper pump price works out better than more expensive with clubcard points.

I just want to get in there and start putting my plans into place rather than just making plans!! Patience never has been my strong point!!!

Will check out the petrol prices website now, always assumed that the supermarkets were the cheapest.

I had thought about that with the Pepsi max....but thought it would lose its fizz?? If it did work then that would be great as i also love Aldi's own diet lemonade which is 18p for a big bottle....that would be fantastic!!
Are there any specific ways to decant to try to keep its fizz??!!

if your planning on drinking it pretty quickly it will keep it's fizzy, we do this all the time when we head away for the day, it's still fizzy when were heading back 7-9 hrs later.
