I guess you'd only need to decant the Pepsi. The big bottle of lemo could be kept at work with a glass to pour into for lunch time.MFW: Nov 2008 £156k, Jun 2015 £129k, Jun 2017 £114k.0

not wishing to sound high maintenance
but i like the pop cold!
The work fridge doesnt have enough room for a big bottle and I try to limit myself to pop at only these two times...if it was there I would drink the whole bottle in one day!!
Decanting into a smaller bottle wont be a problem though...especially when I am in the flat and staying in the same place every night, currently am between two houses which makes planning and preperation a little tricky sometimes!!!
Thanks both for great ideas....that will save me a fair bit of cash every month!!!

i like cold juice aswell
even my squash has the tap running til it's really cold or ice cubes
nothing nicer than a cold glass of coke with ice in it on a warm day
i have another suggestion since you forgot your lunch lol, do you know you can make and freeze sandwichs then lift them out for lunchtime? you can do it with ham and cheese and similar, but i wouldn't advise freezing salad, you can also freeze yogurts and buns/and cakes. i have to say i've never done this but i have made sandwichs with frozen bread before and it was lovely and soft by lunctime

Not a massive fan of sandwiches....tend to do batch cooking of pasta meals as it is cheaper than ready made ones from mr T, but today as had forgotten lunch I did succumb and had a mr t light spaghetti and meatballs!
Sometimes bring soup....unfortunately I am picky and only seem to like tomatoe and chicken. Have tried making my own but in all honesty....it was not nice!! Will maybe try that again soon....try to get it right this time!2019 Totals: Savings: £929.53 / Mortgage OP - £746.32

Well no luck with chairs
i left it till the last minuet and put in my max bid of £156 which was instantly outbid so someone else must of set there reserve higher.
Will keep looking, have the money to buy them from new if i have too, but would like to get a bargian if I can!!
I know I could get something else cheaper but as I have the money, whilst I want to get them for the best price I can....i dont want something totally different and not to my taste!
So...the aldi shop was about £7 last night....will dig out reciept in a min and update the weekly spending post!
Whooopsi'd tea last night - the whole thing cost about £2 for me and the bf!
Have heard the weather is meant to be nice....fingers crossed!! If so i may have to go to the outdoor pool at the gym tonight....love it when it is nice weather, feel like I am on holiday!!
Hope all are well

Just had a read, very dedicated to be thinking about reducing the mortgage so early. Well done!
I bought dining room chairs from a 2nd hand Christian furniture shop - £60 for the set of 4 and they were in great condition... might be worth seeing if there's a similar outlet near you?Mortgage May 2012 - £129k
January 2015 - Mortgage down to £114k
Target for 2015 to get down to £105k0 -
Thank you....it's only because of coming on this website whilst waiting for mortgage to be approved and started reading various diaries that I even realised you could overpay your mortgage let alone that it is something I would be able to do.
I have read about how some people are annoyed with themselves for not starting to op sooner....I sort of feel like that but more to do with saving....since reserving the flat and getting everything underway I have saved nearly £1k per month where as prior to reserving the flat...it would be between 300-400ish per month....makes me think what I could have achieved with more savings...but hey ho....glad I have got the mfw bug before starting mortgage and not years into it!
I am going to have a look around this weekend for alternative dining table and chairs, I no it doesn't sound very mse but I don't NEED to make a saving on it as I have the money allocated and available for it. I want to get the most for my money but don't want to compromise on the look etc of it!! I no it doesn't sound very good and I feel kinda bad for saying that....but I know if bought something that I wasn't overly keen on, I wouldn't rest until I had replaced it!!
Hopefully not many more spends today....may need to buy some flowers for a friend as today is a sad day for her, swimming after work..gym is paid monthly so that has no costs!
VO survey done so am now up to the dizzy heights of £3....I just don't know how I will spend it all!!! :rotfl::rotfl:
Hope everyone is enjoying tis beautiful weather xx:D2019 Totals: Savings: £929.53 / Mortgage OP - £746.32

Laura if you have your heart set on those chairs you will never be 100% happy with any others, even if you buy cheaper ones now you'll be more likely to replace them sooner as there not what you want, which will then mean less money in the overpayment pot, and just remeber any money you save now is fab, but any money you overpay later will also save you interest

Thats my opinion anyway, i tend to shop around alot for things but do buy what i want rather than 2ndhand things that will do, like you i have that option and i had years of stuff that wasn't quite 'me' but did the job, now it's time to let 'me' show.DEC GC £463.67/£450
