MSE subscribed threads not working, help please
Comments
-
If you can find them, you can manually add them to your subscribed list by clicking on the Thread Tools at the top, when the thread is displayed.
Tried that but it doesn't seem to add it, I clicked "subscribe to this thread", don't know what "Add a poll to this thread" means, it's not that is it?0 -
This was not a glitch, it was simply a default configuration which individuals can edit in their control panel.
The default for all users has now been set to No Email notification, as it seems to be on demand. This should hopefully solve any future confusion.
But as stated above please visit your USER CP and configure how you want the forums to work for you. There are a wide selection of options that allow you to customise your forum and chat experience.
Sorry for any inconveniences caused,
and thank you for your patience,

Cheers Daniel, just one question then, is there a correct way I can add my recent posts to my "subscribed threads" or should I just add a post to a thread to get it recognised and included?
Didn't want to add bits wildly as normally I know its frowned upon.0 -
They should now be adding automaticaly without email notification. If you also wish to recieve an email when new posts occur you can set "Default Thread Subscription Mode" in your USER CP to "Instant email notification", "Daily email notification" or "Weekly email notification".
There is also alot of other settings in the new control panel that are worth looking at to configure the forums to your liking. This new version of vbulletin gives users more control and self configuration.0 -
I keep getting subscribed to a post just by posting on it :undecided

Set your Default Thread Subscription Mode to "Don't subscribe" in your control panel.0

I seem to be getting subscribed to threads automatically - is this new?0

if you check HERE and make sure DO not subscribe is not showing in the Default Thread Subscription Mode.
May have been reset when they did one of the updates. chose which option you require, i.e no email etc
Thank you so muchI seem to have subscribed to every thread I have posted on today
Now fixed - Thanks M00nie!!0 -
I don't think it's been explained why it was changed, but I found myself 'subscribed with no notification' whereas before I was 'not subscribed'.
It's just that I can't see what the difference is, except for the little tick to the right of the thread title. You already have a little arrow on the thread icon which tells you you have posted in that thread, so I can't quite see what being 'subscribed with no email notification' does for you?0
