he offered me a job, working for him. I've done his accounts and a lot of his admin/computer stuff many times in the past when he's been very busy and because he's managed to expand the business was looking for someone full time to manage the admin side. His wife currently does it part-time (young family) and can't really cope with it full-time so he's offered the job to me. Money's not what I was on, but is better than benefits and at my age I'm not complaining. :)

I start today, so wish me luck.

    Hello everyone.

I'll post like Fudge_Cake (what a kind lady) with a few names.

To all of you, thank you for all the kind words and suggestions about my problems. I'll try not to makes this too long, but I have to say you guys are geniuses. I save so much money with all your help.

Thank you TrulyMadly for reminding me I had to post.

Snap-ant: No offence was taken by your post about the quiz. It's a great bit of fun each day and I don't take it too seriously. I just try and go as fast as i can. If I ever beat 20 seconds I'll retire. :rotfl:

To everyone who posted nice PMs offering advice and kind words, thank you so much. All your suggestions helped. I'm sorry I didn't reply to them all, I had dozens.

To everyone who posted not so nice PMs, especially about the quiz... GET STUFFED! :p:p

To those who asked by PM who the nasties were, let me say none of them were regular Elite 11+ guys; nor were they people who played the quiz either. It just shows that there are many more (trouble-making) lurkers on here than you would think.

Finally, 76rosie, thank you, thank you, thank you, you are brilliant and one suggestion you posted has turned my life upside down, very quickly. You said:

I spoke to my neighbour (rich guy, own business) through the wall about hopping on his wi-fi for a bit and all sorts of things happened at once.

He told me he and his lovely OH had been thinking of offering some help for a while, but knew i was a proud guy (true ) and maybe would see any offer of help as charity (false).

Anyway, first we set me up on his wireless net = happy kids, and ...

he offered me a job, working for him. I've done his accounts and a lot of his admin/computer stuff many times in the past when he's been very busy and because he's managed to expand the business was looking for someone full time to manage the admin side. His wife currently does it part-time (young family) and can't really cope with it full-time so he's offered the job to me. I start today, so wish me luck.

PS. Thanks again, all of you. :T
PPS. motherbear, thank you for the kind offer. I'm sorry I never got back to you personally, your message got lost in among all the PMs I got.

Congratulations Ceriain  you must be so pleased :j

Managed to get some really good whoopsies in our little Mr T express at the weekend, lot's of fruit, salad, bread, rolls, sandwiches and flowers all at 90% off :j:j:j

Went to the big extra with all my L'oreal vouchers and stocked up on face wash and mens deo (oh was well impressed with these ;)), no magazines though and I'm sure someone posted about some coupons in there but can't remember what so I'll have to keep looking for these.

Not very impressed with the new priceflop :(

    Morning:wave:

Hope everyone is well. Took DS swimming and just got in - I'm starving (despite a bowl of weetabix and blueberries at 8am) so raiding the fridge. Just had a slice of fruit loaf (whoopsied of course), leftover noodles and now a muller yogurt.

    - the front page of the apg checker still says wait until after 6am following day but in the terms it says wait 3 hours, they did trial doing it sooner a few months ago but they encountered problems so hopefully they are all resolved now -

That's really strange as the front page is showing

"Please enter your ASDA till receipt details and click "Compare Prices". Please ensure you've waited 3 hours after you shopped"
    for me ???

could someone else check please so I know I'm not going mad???

    Washed down with OJ? :D

I really wish it was any other OJ than Don Simon. I like mos of the others but this one just doesn't taste right to me. Mayhap it's Spanish oranges or something? I don't know.

Hope all are well. Just come out of my Monday morning R&D meeting. :(

Even though I've probably done 10,000 Pricechecks, I've never done an APG. I will have to give it a go with some of these finds. I take it APG uses MS?
I am firmly across the line. I won't impose my values on you if you keep away from mine.

    Morning Everyone:)

I'm sure you're all aware but Robinsons have recalled their new cap Fruit Shoots. If you return a half used pack ;), you get £2.99 back no receipt needed. If you're like me you never pay more than £1.80 - £2 per pack. HTH :)

Certainly did wash it down with OJ - I've had it before and it's nice. Even nicer when it's free :j
    APG does use MS.

DS told me he wants to go to the park so back in a bit x

Guys I just offered to keep a running tally/list incase it was easier for everyone, I didn't want to cause a row, I have done the list (and added loads more to it) but won't post it here xx

My logic on a list is this and it's just my opinion:o:oDTD was a policy that we had a spreadsheet for, I used it and contributed to it and it helped no end, yes stores did get lurked but their was so much stuff on it you could always find something on it but it probably wasnt the best idea to have one so easily available to T's:( This APG is a GLITCH, it's a mistake, so it could be rectified in an hour or in a week. Therefore I think a list is a good idea;) We have to make the most of it while it lasts. Just my little opinion, I'd love to see Misslaid list and will happily contribute to it:T:T:T
    Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:

Never done an APG shop before but think maybe now its time to join in. Only live 5 mins from large asda so dont mind doing one in the line of research. Would be very interested in getting the Bold. Could i just ask where you are getting the tesco prices from as on my supermarket the bold only shows as £4 tesco and £3 asda. Probably doing something wrong as easily confused with this sort of thing. TIA
