I spoke to my neighbour (rich guy, own business) through the wall about hopping on his wi-fi for a bit and all sorts of things happened at once.
He told me he and his lovely OH had been thinking of offering some help for a while, but knew i was a proud guy (true ) and maybe would see any offer of help as charity (false).
Anyway, first we set me up on his wireless net = happy kids, and ...
he offered me a job, working for him. I've done his accounts and a lot of his admin/computer stuff many times in the past when he's been very busy and because he's managed to expand the business was looking for someone full time to manage the admin side. His wife currently does it part-time (young family) and can't really cope with it full-time so he's offered the job to me. Money's not what I was on, but is better than benefits and at my age I'm not complaining.
I start today, so wish me luck.

PS. Thanks again, all of you. :T
PPS. motherbear, thank you for the kind offer. I'm sorry I never got back to you personally, your message got lost in among all the PMs I got.
This is amazing news :j:DFor some reason though I'm feeling very uneasy. Didn't want to spoil a nice day for him with my irrational emotions so have just waved them off. Need a good glitch to keep me occupied
Flipping hormones
I know what you mean about irrational emotions - after I had DS2 my OH was going to take him and DS1 out so I could rest but I had to ask him to play with them downstairs or in the garden because I really didn't want the 3 most important people in my life going out together and something happening - pregnancy hormones really do send you crazy :rotfl::o
Morning all! Beening lurking again recently - someone mentioned looking at their family tree, think it was nikkilala and got me wanting to look at mine and it is rather addicting so although I've been keeping up (just about) I haven't managed to post.
Went to A's today to try out some of the APG things - had OH with me and he was under strict instructions not to deviate from the list :rotfl::rotfl: Will let you know in a few hours when I get the results back if anything compared favourably ;)Silence is golden...unless you have a toddler. In that case silence is very, very suspicious!0 -
Good morning everyone
I have a few (cough ) clubcards, I use these in rotation which produce till splits, I also then get loads of different one's sent to me with the points vouchers for clubcards I don't use very often. ( It takes quite a while to get round them all :rotfl: )
Thankyou so much for this ive now ordered another clubcard :T0 -

I'm off for a day next week to start going through some local archive records:o:o:oBeware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0 -

i was really overwhelmed. lots of us have been in similar situations and come out the otherside. i am having a good year so far but i can never forget the tough times and like mum always said "look after the pennies"
OH and me had a great time at wireless yesterday. We looked funny in our disposable plastic ponchos but they've saved the day. Thanks to all for the bargains and support you give, it means having some fun once in a while is possible.:T
waiting for the reports back guys from a's. would pick up some bold and juice. will investigate msm to see if i can spot any misprices too:)grocery challenge 9.86/600 -
Been busy all yesterday painting so I've missed what the muller glitch is, can anyone enlighten me I can see that they are 8 for £3 in asda and i know they are 10 for £3 in tesco so I can work out why buy them in asda.
It's probably so obvious but I can't see it.september wins - toshiba laptop, timotei shampoo & conditioner, mccains games, pimms picnic blanket.
october wins - grants tumblers, £20 petrol voucher, sega console, iphone
novembers wins - £50 on walkers rainy day, £50 itunes voucher

My logic on a list is this and it's just my opinion:o:oDTD was a policy that we had a spreadsheet for, I used it and contributed to it and it helped no end, yes stores did get lurked but their was so much stuff on it you could always find something on it but it probably wasnt the best idea to have one so easily available to T's:( This APG is a GLITCH, it's a mistake, so it could be rectified in an hour or in a week. Therefore I think a list is a good idea;) We have to make the most of it while it lasts. Just my little opinion, I'd love to see Misslaid list and will happily contribute to it:T:T:T
I've tried fiddling with mysupermarket to see whether/which toilet rolls are best to target but can't work it out (sitting in corner with pointy hat on...). can anyone help quick before I zoom off?)0 -
