    Good evening everyone,

Ive just read through the thread, and ive forgotton half of it already, but a few of you really do need a big hug today, so sending HUGE VIRTUAL HUGS TO ALL WHO NEED/WANT ONE XXXXXX.

Crazy chik - My friends DD and DH will be moving to be with her, once her DD has finished her GCSEs.

Well, had a nice day today, managed to do the cleaning i wanted, played with LO and took DS to footie training, where i had to stand in a very cold, muddy field for an hour!! Its nice to have the other parents to talk to (its nice to speak to adults!!!) but, boy was it cold, def need some thermal undies!!!
Came home and i had made a lovely lamb stew in the SC, all ready to serve up, it went down well after the cold.
Im just wathing this thing on ITV about the half ton people, makes me feel really skinny!!!

Right, off for a browse before heading to bed,
    Have a lovely evening everyone
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Evening all

Crazy day today, so couldnt get my head around a real post earlier, mine was only a busy workload though, feeling quite good, and the sun has been out here, though bitingly cold, a idle wind as we call it, too idle to go round, it blows straight through you.

((((hugs)))) to many of here who have not had the best of days to put it mildly. Is it really Skeggy for Math or more like a quiet backwater, maybe Mablethorpe? Shame we dont go there for weekends in the caravan.:D

ccstar maybe you should follow sahmx5's example and have a glass or two to relax you, so that you sleep better.;) You need to not let your OH get you so upset, as you always lose when you get angry I find. As for the two approaches, that's males I think, mine is dying when telling me he has a cold, but to anyone else hes "not bad!"

Actually been sorting the spare room out tonight, and getting some more stuff offered on Freecycle, well the DS's GF arrives on Thursday, so don't like leaving things until the last minute - much!!  It's his birthday on Friday and we are taking them out for a meal.

Enjoy the rest of the evening, work could continue like this as my "right hand" left a few weeks ago, and you cannot build 15 years experience into someone new overnight, in fact for 6 months they can even be a liability.

Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?
  • CCStar, again (((huge hugs)))

I know I'm a relative newbie here, but I don't think you've brought anything down. People have rough days, and rough patches. If you couldn't talk to us about it I'm sure you'd feel much worse. I don't think anyone (other than 2 or 3 trolls we sha'n't mention) would begrudge you a little vent.

Chin up petal, and bottoms up to! (a large pinot or two???)

sahmx5 big hugs to you too, that sounds like an awful, awful day. I'm sure tomorrow will be better (and hey, aren't you going on hols soon???)

CCStar I wish I could come there and give you a big hug :( You could hug me back, I've been arguing with my OH and DS tonight (yeah it's all my fault, I don't do anything, and pick on DS all the time  )

Hugs to sahmx5 too, sometimes everything seems to go wrong, but it will pass.

So, who wants my 17yo DS? I'm told he's a lovely young man around other people (maybe that's the solution..... we all swap teens so they have to be on their best behaviour all the time?) OH is free to good home, he's not too much work, he sleeps most of the time!

No it isn't means tested. Look here https://www.ppa.org.uk/ppa/medex.htm it explains it. There is a list of 9 things which qualify for free prescriptions. Under active thyroid is called myxoedema on the list. If she is taking thyroxine she should qualify.

Thanks Snoozer- that was really a big help. I`ll pass it on:T

We had another shouting match - son went with his stuff, we retired to watch soaps to calm down.

Had talk about how it evolves - he can't cope with me being ill or stressed
I can't cope with him shouting when I feel that way. We managed to calm down enough to be civil but it's not a good way to be.

    Hi all,

Looks like lots of hugs needed today. Unfortunately.........or maybe I should say thankfully after reading through the thread, my day was totally uneventful. Got up, did the needful, paddled about doing bits and pieces interspersed with logging on to mse then went to work this evening.

That's why I don't post much in the daily........my life is boring!

Trying to wind down now so that I can get off to sleep. I hope you all have a good night.
