Hi, this is the Daily Thread forTuesday 20th March. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Good morning all,

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
I hope today finds you well and you all have a better day than yesterday.
No snow here today, very cold though.
OH saw Dd's teacher yesterday for a meeting about her progress and they are very pleased with her! She said she was helpful and polite and working hard at her lessons, much better than last year where she was struggling somewhat so everyone's work with her reading has paid off.
Work again today, the usual hoover and tidy afterwards. The second bundle of clothes for Dd has arrived and she has a lovely wardrobe full of clothes now for £47 in total. This I should recoup when her old clothes are bundled and sold on Ebay.
Right I have to move.
to you all today.
See you later,
Smoky. xxxx
Edited to say,
Happy Birthday Essex girl, I hope you have a great day.

Wow, I'm on this early! Thanks for the lovely prayer Smokeybabe - only too true! Woke about two hours ago with raging headache - must drink more water- so got up to write the minutes from last night's meeting. That'll be a shock for the Chairman, they usually take a wee bit longer! Happy Birthday Essexgirl!
Must get showered and dressed and into school early now. Love and Hugs to all who follow.Resolution:

Morning SmokyBabe and those who follow.
Happy Birthday Essex Girl! And a ((((hug))))) to anyone who needs one today.
DS2 up at 5.30 - heating not on yet brrrrrrrrrr. Going to get the boys feet printed on some pottery this morning at DS1's nursery, then to B&Q for paint as DH is painting the spare room this weekend while I am taking the boys to see their Granny - bless him. I also want to get a cheap folder from somewhere as I've been reading about Household Notebooks and think I need one, but it needs to be small enough to fit in my handbag! Otherwise I would need to buy a new handbag and that wouldn't be very MSE would it
Going to make the slow cooked mutton stew from a thread on here for our tea. That man is richest whose pleasures are cheapest. Henry David Thoreau0 -
Morning. I am really cheesed off today. I went to sort my boat out and found that it was not storm damage, but THIEF damage. Some inconsiderate !!!!!!! has ripped the escape hatch off the cabin and stole and some electronics from the consol. I mean unwired everything to get this bit of kit. The annoying thing is they just left the covers off and so it filled up with water. If you don't nail everything down these days, someone will have it away. rant rave,,.... not enought penalty for criminals etc.....
You should have seen me yesterday, trying to put a temporary cover over the boat with howling winds and hail hitting me at 50mph. It was freezing!!!!!!
Well apart from that, I have another day off with a few jobs to do. I was re-furbishing my Bar b Q yesterday which will need finishing today. I have a school gov's meeting later and then another meeting tonight, so quite a full day.
I have some e-bay stuff to do. (another annoying thing is some folks who bid and never pay).
I hate peopleNO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0 -

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ESSEX GIRL
Good morning everyone,
Cold, but blue skies here today - finally got the washing on that i shouldve done yesterday, so hopefully the blue skies will stay so i can get it outside.
Nice easy day for me today, just one LO here, and she is at nursery this morning, so hoping to catch up on all the bits i shouldve done yesterday, but didnt.
As we were coming home from school yesterday, saw my friends daughter (the one who has moved to Oz, her husband and 15 yo are going out after the GCSEs are finished). She had locked herself out, her mobile phone was charging inside and her dad was at work until 10!!!! So, she came to mine for dinner and a chat until her dad could collect her - its nice that she thought to come to mine, and knew she had somewhere to go.
Right, off for a browse before LO gets here.
((HUGS)) to anyone who wants/needs one - including N9eav.
Have a lovely day,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -

Snow has gone this morning, it is a lovely dry and bright day, but looks really cold.
Happy birthday to everyone with a birthday today, and N9eav sorry about your boat, but what goes around comes around, so something nice will come to you but not to the thieves.
Went to Matalan yesterday, they have a half price sale on some things - gloves and scarves are half price, so I have started my Christmas shopping
Martin, what have you done to me - I'm turning into a Domestic Goddess :rotfl:

Morning all.
Sorry i didnt post last night i was sooooooooooo mad.
At footy training another parent came and had the biggest go at me, my dd had aparently punched her daughter in the stomach, i said sorry and made my dd say sorry but no that wasnt good enough she was screaming at me and pointing her finger in my face..the fact was no one saw this happen apart from this parent (even thought there was another 12 parents in the room) Her daughter is 5 and a big 5 at that, my dd is only just 4 and has never ever done anything like this before.
After she walked away the other parents round me were also mad and said there was no need to go off the way she did.
Dh didnt see this happen as he was training the kids, but he is fuming.
But hey todays another day, iv carlmed down ..almost..and have plans to take out my anger on the house, a full tidy through.
Have a good day everyone
