Parcel2Go - WARNING

I booked a parcel drop off at my local depot through Parcel 2 Go. The next day I had a missed collection card through my letterbox. P2G said it wasn't a problem, I could still go to the depot as arranged. When I went to the depot, on the agreed day, the couriers said I hadn't rebooked the collection so they wouldn't take the parcel. I had to come all the way home to contact P2G via Live Chat who could not arrange another parcel drop off that day. It had to be sent so I used Parcelforce instead and got a refund from P2G.0

I left a post about a bad experience withParcel2Go and I'm also independent of the other Newbies. It's just that lots of people have had bad experiences. I've asked for a refund which I hope I get. Parcel2Go need to improve their service if they don't want bad feedback.....0

Well I have used them once and I currently have BIG problems with them.
Bought an item through Ebay seller sent it via parcels2go. Item should have been delivered last Friday (20/7/12) but failed to show up. Was listed out for delivery on Monday 23/7/12 courier never collected it so it didn't show up.
Tuesday 24/7/12 is a missing day so who knows where it was, or even what happened to it anyway suffice to say it never turned up.
Today 25/7/12 at 14.36 hours the courier noted down that it was delivered to our leterbox. For a start this is a big parcel. I have been here all day and no one has come to the front door. We have two bark-o-mactic dogs who would woof their heads off if anyone set foot at the bottom of the driveway - not a peep out of them all day apart from when our postie turned up at 10.50am.
DH rang Parcels2go and wanted to know where this parcel was. P2Go refused to discuss it with him, hiding behind Data Protection laws. DH said "well I tell you what as I work in law enforcement maybe I can give you a big discussion on data protection, but a missing parcel that has no pulse does not qualify for data protection laws"! All we want to know is where the parcel is and who has signed for it. "Err there is no signature" came back the reply! So no signature means no delivery but according to their tracking site it has been delivered to our letterbox - what a shame we have CCTV on the front of our home showing them up to be blatant liars. No one came to our home at all (postie apart).
Seething we are very much - this parcel has been floating about for a week now. No one knows where it is, when it is likely to be delivered and who has got it. The driver and customer services are apparently incommunicado and we have an item of £50.00 that we have paid for that is somewhere out there. I am now going to have to open a dispute resolution with Ebay and get them to deal with it because the seller even now does not answer my messages. I am utterly livid.Cat, Dogs and the Horses are our fag and beer money:beer:

I know. They must lose so many parcels that they can't afford to pay out any more than £20. Parcel Monkey (sending Parcel Force 24) comes with £75 loss cover as standard and you can upgrade that to £200 for an extra £2.50. Parcel2Go are awful in every way and I regret the day I discovered them.
Their website states.......£20 loss/damage cover included. You can upgrade this to £1,000.0 -

I'm past the livid stage. I'm at the acceptance stage. Accepting the fact Parcel2Go and their staff are unfit to be working in the parcel sending bussiness or any bussiness for that matter. My parcel has been floating around their depot for over 6 months. I'm writing the "pre action" letter this weekend.
AVOID PARCEL2GO AT ALL COSTS.
USE PARCEL MONKEY.0 -
You're all talking as if Parcel2Go is a courier. They're not, they're a comparison website that handles the payments and complaints to the couriers.
It sounds to me like you've used Yodel through them, who are unbelievably useless. Then you have MyHermes, who are reliable but painfully slow at delivering.
For those who've got missed collections, the times are clearly stated when they can collect & deliver.0 -
Their website states.......
Thank you for giving me another the opportunity to show everyone how awful Parcel2Go are....
Insurance costs:
Up to £200
Parcel Monkey 2.49 + VAT
Parcel2Go 7.50 + VAT
Up to £1000
Parcel Monkey 19.99 + VAT
Parcel2Go £47.50 + VAT (No really. That is not a typo)
Not only are they one of the worse companies still in bussiness but they are also an over priced rip off.
AVOID PARCEL2GO AT ALL COSTS.
USE PARCEL MONKEY INSTEAD.0 -
Right, but you're shown what the cost is before you pay, not after. So see that it's £47+VAT for insurance, then move to Parcel Monkey. Simple.0

The issue is they are very happy to handle the payments but then they go very quiet when there is a complaint. Either way thay are responsible.0 -
Very quiet? Jump on the Live Chat, they've always sorted out problems for me there and then - wrong addresses, double payments, missed collections, lost parcels etc.0
