A work mate of mine always got wound up by the way I pronounced the letter 'H',apparently the way I pronounce 'H' is the same as a certain section of NI society, although to me it's normal as it's the way I was tought to speak growing up in the Midlands...Always used to find it funny really in it's pettyness.

I can't stand reading "it's" when it should be "its".

In what way did he misuse it? He used it as a contraction for 'it is' in both instances. This is correct grammatically.
