I dislike the use of 'our' as well. But my pet hate is SUFTUM. Stand up for the Ulster Men???? Why, is someone bullying them? It's a ridiculous, chip-on-shoulder phrase.
Ahhh, that's better. :rotfl:
Often sang at Windsor Park when Our Wee Country play (whoops I used the 'O' word)
Of course not geographically correct, if so we would have Shay Given in nets, James McClean on the wing and Darren Gibson probably warming the bench like he does at every other football team :rotfl:
We should replace it with 'Stand up for the Northern Ireland and Derry Men who actually want to play for their country and the English and Scottish men with a tenuous link to Norn Iron who realise they will never be good enough to play for their actually countries Men' instead :T
SUFTNIADMWAWTPFTCATEASMWATLTNIWRTWNBGETPFTACM or maybe we will stick to SUTFUMI am trying, honest;) very trying according to my dear OH:rotfl:0 -
The thread title is 'Another is it just me? Personal pronouns in Norn Iron media'.
OP were you not slighty tempted to say 'Another is it just me? Personal pronouns in our media'. Much more concise!0 -

4. People who don't say thanks when you hold the door open for them
5. People who stand at the bus stop for 10mins THEN get their purse out when the bus comes (and in a queue at the shop!)
9. People who let their kids push trolleys in supermarkets
I am sure there are more
I agree wholeheartedly with these ones.0 -

Ha ha.
By the way I used "Norn Iron" in the thread title because I could not spell Northern Ireland.0 -
And I thought this was going to be a whinge about the yourself/myself thing...0

In defence of the coners.... some idiot removed cones we had put out, along with the sign. We had to call the police and cost several people over an hour of their day because a removal lorry found itself unable to get around a corner :oPAlways overestimating...0

CONERS - I am a coner and here is the reason why. Workers park outside my house at 9.00am and stay there until 5.30pm. They park on the pavement and do not allow buggies or the elderly with zimmer frames to pass. They think outside my window is theirs!!! It is the same two well built ladies who are there every day. Can I reverse out of my drive - NO!! because they park right up to the edge and I cannot get an angle to reverse. Are my cones legal?- no of course not. Would I park my car outside another persons house every single day - NO!! I put my cones out until those two ladies have found an alternative space( I know their registration off by heart) and then I take the cones away to allow other people to come and go throughout the day. Cones - I love them!!!never stop doing your best because someone doesn't give you credit0

I suppose the two horizonatally challenged ladies in question refer to it as "our parking space".0 -
My pet hate - people who ignore empty parking spaces and drive right up to the door of the garage shop and park there to go in and get their bread, fags or whatever. This usually entails blocking the way for other motorists. The ones who park at fuel pumps while not actually purchasing fuel are beyond lazy and stupid.0
