As far as I am concerned I pay my car tax so am entitled to on any road I want as long as its legal.

    Too right!
People get so territorial about areas that are not theirs (and can take it to extremes, hence the cones.)
We used to live in a house with no driveway so we'd park on the road outside our house. Our neighbour's daughter had some notion about the space outside our gate and once asked us to park down the road so she could park there. Bear in mind that she didn't even live on the street, she was just calling in to see her folks. I pointed out that she could park further down as there was plenty of space but she "didn't like to park there". She needed to get a life! Happily no cones were produced by either party :).

Hate car drivers going round a corner at two miles an hour! What are you doing, parking? Or them sitting in the overtaking lane because they are turning right 14 bloody miles down the road.

    +1000

Driving standards seem to be getting worse in NI, especially lane discipline.

(extra credit for correctly calling it the overtaking lane)

Lazer- you clearly have not read my post when you say "The coners annoy me too, and that includes you"

Remember I save the spot for peole like you:beer:. Read again.......

"I take the cones away to allow other people to come and go throughout the day. Cones - I love them!!!"

Absolutely agree. PSNI could make a fortune if they sat near any yellow box junction.

Now one of my own. I drive to work on single carriage 'A' road every morning. Usually there might be 10 or 15 cars evenly spaced, travelling at about 55mph with everyone resigned to getting to their destination at this speed.
Then some plonker arrives at the back and insists on overtaking recklessly so that he/she might eventually drive at 60mph. My blood pressure is raised as is I'm sure that of the oncoming cars.

    Rant over, thank you

At the end of the day, short of giving the odd finger at other drivers and calling them a name, what can you do about them? My latest road rage incident involved being undertaken by a merc in slow traffic. I ended up parallel with the car in question and mouthed 'clown' at the driver - who turned out to be a mum from the school :o. In her defence, she mouthed, 'sorry'. At least the children were in the car or I might have used a different term!

My pet hate - people who ignore empty parking spaces and drive right up to the door of the garage shop and park there to go in and get their bread, fags or whatever. This usually entails blocking the way for other motorists. The ones who park at fuel pumps while not actually purchasing fuel are beyond lazy and stupid.

I think you might only hate these people becuase they are parked right where you want to park. ;)

I've just one gripe. Other peoples kids. period.

wacko911, I am with you on your gripe! Other people's children help to remind us that our own offspring are pretty darn great!

now for a gripe of my own, folk who breathe noisily with no medical excuse for it - sends me demented!
