Tea is a makeshift as I have tap class this evening.
Hester  to the ex of your DD being a jerk and ruining your plans

Morning all
Happy 4th of July to all American people! I have lots of friends over there from my Camp America days
I was shattered when I got home last night. I washed dishes, had my LO pizza and then fell asleep on sofa for 2 hours! Dragged myself off to bed at half9 and then was awake til half11 . Still tired today. No idea why I'm so sleepy.
Still pouring down herefed up of it!
Another office day, but need to pop out to visit a school after lunch for a potential project.
OS wise - packed lunch made, will defo be making the veggie chilli tonight as I only really have soups in freezer.
Have a good day all

Morning all what a humid night and its very grey and yuk looking at the moment I have just telephone my sis-in-law as today would have been my eldest brothers 75th birthday he sadly passed away 10 years ago.She always feels a bit down as he had only just retired and they had been looking forward to a nice retirement by moving to Kent from Oxfordshire.Life can be hard sometimes and so very unexpected.
Well a pottering day today as my DD has the day off(she works alternate Saturdays in her job so when she does she gets a Wednesday off instead)so I didn't have to rush this morning as she did the school run.
I am going to probably make a coffee cake for DD as she said last night she hasn't had some for yonks,so I will be looking for a quick and easy one.I used to have a great one that an Autrian friend gave me but I can't for the life of me find the blessed thing still no doubt the 'net will find me something.
Hope you all are having a good day halfway through the week already ,time certainly has wings at the moment
take care all

bargaibbird- hopefully sports day can go ahead
Morning all. Wet and yucky, off back down south this afternoon where it's also wet and yucky I'm told. Feeling very lacklustre today, I always do when I have to go back. I'm just not a southerner, life feels different thereI imagine there will be some cleaning and a load to go in the WM when I get back as OH leaves everything til the night before I come home but then gets distracted/forgets and I cba waiting for him to get his act together. I just wanna get in, get the house clean and relax as I find coming into a messy house sooooooo stressful

Morning all,
Its not raining here but its just so grey...:(,warm though, anyone else find their bread is going mouldy quick
Not sure whats for tea,I'm struggling for ideas at the moment, the plan was for turkey steaks last night. The men arrived home early, rained off,so I hadnt started cooking them and DH said he didnt fancy them and got himself some Chinese out of the freezer.I wasnt cooking them just for myself,DS wasnt eating till he came back from the gym,so I had a leftover chicken breast and salad.Seems like whatever I do at the moment ,they pull their noses up
I cut out a top yesterday,so may start sewing it up today, unless the sun comes out(ha!) and I go in the garden.I got enough fabric from Aba kahn at their 20% off sale preview day to make 7 tops,£20 the lot,so not bad at less than £3 each,2 will be more dressy as well.
Hilstep-hope you are better after your fall and you get on ok with the nurse x
Sybil, sorry you are feeling a bit rough
Hester-I once had a bad reaction to something like that, ended up at the emergency docs,I was off work for 2 weeks and had to have a course of steroids in the end to clear it up-its very scary:eek:.I never found out what had set it off,and like you had antihists everywhere.I've had the odd itchy bump since but never like that again than goodness, hope you don't either.
Ok,off to do some more housework, hope you all have good days x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Good morning Floss2 and all,
well i think ive turned a corner where my new medication is concerned. At 2am i hadnt shut my eyes. Cant complain at least i am not sleeping the clock round.
Heard from my daughter in South Africa, we have been sending messages to eachother all morning. She is so happy there and settled. I cant see her ever coming back to the UK to live.
The beds are stripped and bedding in the washer but i am going to have to dry them in the dryer unfortunately its chucking down here. I need to water the plants in the greenhouse at some point but i'm waiting for the rain to stop or at least slow down before i do.
Hugs to all as needed and brollies all round. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Morning All
Gloomy again here, washing on the airers again. Had to put DDs work stuff in the drier to finish it off this morning. At least it's not too cold.
Been out this morning and posted a package, nipped to A!di for a couple of bits and came home to find the sheep that have been visiting my garden and keeping the grass down had found themselves out onto the road. I have chased them back in and phoned the farmer who is coming down to fix the fence. Don't mind them coming into the garden but get worried that they will cause an accident and get hurt as it's quite a busy road at times.
Had fabby cauli cheese last night for tea, stir fry turkey tonight and will do some baking some time today in between painting the spare room.
JackieO - how's your vegetarian pal getting on?
Take care. XX0 -
Hi everyone.
Rubbish night's sleep, was almost in tears with the pain at 03:00:(, so using a Word.doc to type my reply before posting again.;)
GWS Sybil; being “Uncle D!ck” is so horrible. *mutters at over-enthusiastic profanity filter*
Hilstep I hope you're feeling a little better after your duvet day.
Judi glad you are feeling a little more settled with the new meds – sometimes it takes the body a while to adjust.
Mr LW and I have decided between us that I shall take a dose of Oramorph when we go to bed – I can't keep having nights in so much pain, my hands are not steady enough to pour myself a dose during the night, and I feel guilty if I have to wake him up (hence me lying there and enduring it last night – he's had 2 broken nights due to work recently and needs to catch up).
I'm seeing the physio-terrorist on Saturday, but tbh, I don't think she's doing a lot of good. The ultra-sound helps at the time, but a couple of hours later the effect has worn off and I'm back to square one. Scratching my head (or would be if I could raise my hand high enough to do so:D) for what to do now.:(
Oh well, there's folks worse off than me, and I do at least have Dilly the Westie's visit to look forward to.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Hi Everyone
Gosh there are some poorly people on here - I hope you all feel better soon.
Ive got a sore throat/cold type thing which isnt too bad - more annoying than anything - I was due to be going out after work today but I think I will just go home and rest.
OS wise, I generally iron on a wednesday but there are only a couple of bits so I have decided they can wait. Food will be sausage toad. I will definitely be having an early night!
I have successfully had a lunch break each day this week so far and also brought my packed lunch with me which I have really enjoyed. So, part of my "fresh start" is working.
Im thinking about christmas already (I noticed them selling christmas cards in the card shop this morning!). Anyway, I have decided to start getting little bits and bobs and I go along from now on - perhaps in places like p0undland etc. Then I wont feel so panicky when the time approaches.
Have a good day everyone.
