If all else fails, feed the birds with the left over cereal. I'm not sure that cocoa pops will be good for them (although children seem to eat them first so maybe they'll be none left!)" The greatest wealth is to live content with little."

Ok patchwork cat asked what i've got left
theres about 1/4 pkt coco pops and about the same of choco balls
then nearly whole pack of a cereal i got at lidl, that none of us like- they are like little choc pockets with a creamy choc stuff in the middle. The kids always want these chocolatey things as a treat then go of them, and go back to eating the weetabix and shreddies. I've tried suggesting we mix some of the choccy cereals in with the shreddies, but they turned there noses up at that exotic suggestion!!!
I've also got oats, weetabix, and shreddies, not needing to use these up, but some could be added into a recipe if needed
Sound like nugat pillows from Lidl.... send em over !!!"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

For a no-bake way to use up leftover breakfast cereals can I suggest the following, I don’t know if it will work with cocoa-pops but it does with most.
60g butter or margarine
300g marshmallows
300g (crushed) whichever cereal you want to use, crunchy nut cornflakes works best
100g sultanas
Grated orange rind to taste (up to 2 large oranges)
4 tablespoons sesame seeds
Directions
1. Melt butter in large saucepan over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat.
2. Quickly add cereal, sultanas, sesame seeds and orange rind. Stir until well coated.
3. Using buttered spatula or waxed paper, press mixture evenly into 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan coated with melted butter. Cut into 2-inch squares when cool. Best if served the same day.
For a different variation I have topped biscuits with flavoured icing sugar and chocolate before they cool.0 -
that's what we do, but after several times you get to the bottom of the packet and it just 'dust' what can you do with that?
I pour end cereal packet into a colander + shake all the dust away over the bin. I get one last bowlful with no bits. Maybe I should save them for crumble/coating now I've read this thread.0 -
Hi All,
I loathe eating the ends of cereal boxes almost as much as I hate throwing them away!! Does anyone have any good recipes or ideas for the end of them? I always eat bran flakes (trying to be healthy) - I thought about crumble but that's as far as I got!
CheersAli

Not a recipe but I use the ends of my cereal as extras for my dogs meals. I guess you could also use them in muesli bars or such.Thailand 3010/15000 20150

Mix them with plain yogurt, add them to porridge for extra fiber-taste or oomph, add to crumbles or pies, cakes or sweet pastries for extra crunch/bite. Take any small children you know (neices, nephews, your own children if you have them) and feed the birds/ducks at the weekend. Or mix with new fresh cereals to make them last that bit longer as you'll need less of them to get a bowl full so will be saving money.0

You should be eating the cereal, not the ends of the cereal box, I know its MSE and full of fibre, but you need to eat properlyI would like to live in Theory, because everything works there0
