I have to make wages stretch a whole month so I like a buffer in case I don't get paid on time and the early dd's start to be taken!
My neighbors always scoff when I put washing out in the evening or on over cast days... I just say any breeze will get it mostly dry and it can finish off in doors if needed.MFW: Nov 2008 £156k, Jun 2015 £129k, Jun 2017 £114k.0

In my old house we had one long line and i could only fit one load of smallish clothes or 2 loads of bedding, so i used to hang my washing out overnight, til we got a wasps nest, then i used to hang the washing out and put it in the dryer for 20mins to fill any wasps there was a shocking amount
I have another load out now and the first loads nearly dry it costs £1.80 to dry a load of washing in my eco friendly drier so it's def worth hanging it out, i'm playing catch up at the mo so doing 2-3 loads a day, but from tomorrow/fri it will be one load a day which is still £9 a week (i only wash mon-fri really) it costs £1.80 to dry a load of washing in my eco friendly drier so it's def worth hanging it out, i'm playing catch up at the mo so doing 2-3 loads a day, but from tomorrow/fri it will be one load a day which is still £9 a week (i only wash mon-fri really)
Spent £20 on tesco vouchers on 2 hilife cards, these are 2 for 1 diningcards and are fab, i'm going to see michael mcintyre next month so i wanted my card sent off and back ebfore then as it takes a few weeks, so we can have a cheap meal out when we go. We had a tastecard last year but our fav resuarant has pulled out of it and theres no good offers on it so we've decided not to renew it. We only have to use our hi-life card once for it to pay for it's self, we buy the inlaws theres aswell as they feed us so often and sometimes we all go for meals together to places that allow us to use 2 cards for 4 people.DEC GC £463.67/£450

Dinner was a disaster, picked hubby up from work, he was very hot and flustered and said he'd had a really bad day and would like a chinese, we could get the cheap option and feed all 5 of us for£9.50, i said no i'm gonna make pie and chips, now i was making chips because my spuds weren't great and loads ended up in the bin when i was making stew, but when i went to make it turns out we didn't have any frozen chips left either so i gave in and we got chinese so i gave in and we got chinese
Pies, cabbage, mash and gravy for tea tomorrow
 spent £9.50 on chinese
Spent £7.06 in lidl on 10 toilet rolls, a bag of spuds to do us til next week, 2 loaves of bread and 2 litres of milk-and i need more milk already!!!
Chinese comes from our entertainment budget so not too bad, but i only have £15ish of my grocery budget left plus a £5 tesco card and we're not even 2 weeks in! Meal plans done so i must stick to it from now on.DEC GC £463.67/£450

I swear it's getting colder, i have bed socks, a long sleved top, a thin jumper and a thick jumper on, and i had my winter coat on for the school run, i'm still hoping things will warm up but i may need to consider some heat on in the mornings if things keep going like this. Other than HI is anyone else using there heating already?
Off to the soft play area to meet a friend in abit, will be about £4 in, i'm bring lunch for the child and i'll get something when we get home at 3, i just made scambled egg on toast so i should be full enough, if it's this cold in there i might get a cuppa.
Not much else going on today, i'll report any spends when i get back, and hang a load of washing out before i got.DEC GC £463.67/£450

It is getting colder, I've had to go long-sleeved this week for work! I'm holding off on the heating. However my dad walked into our house last night and said "have you got the heating on?" - we didn't but he said their house is always cold and they think its because their double glazing is 20+ years old whereas ours is about 3. I do think they make a huge difference.
Enjoy the softplay....I'm assuming you and your friend won't be playing LOL 0 0

You assume right altho i have been in before
Spent £3.75 getting in, then is pent another £6.70 on lunch, and then as we were leavinga friend mentioned lollys so then ds wanted lollys so i ended up spending £10.75 in iceland, to be fair i got 72 chicken nuggets,20 burgers,40 fishfingers, a bag of chips, box of 12 tatie waffles and 2 boxes of lollys, but when i went to pay i'd left my bankcard at home!!! so embarassed counting pennies out in iceland for a load of junk food and nearly not having enough. hubby gave me £40 which he got for extra work done this week so other than the soft play area i'm adding any of these spends these can be daddys treat . .
Oh and it's quite warm here now i've taken my extra jumper off now and i'm down to a long sleved top and a thin jumper and my washing is bone dry and my washing is bone dry DEC GC £463.67/£450 DEC GC £463.67/£450

Morning all, still cold here i'm now in 2 jumpers and snowbots and it looks like it's going to pour down, so i won't be doing any washing today. i'm now in 2 jumpers and snowbots and it looks like it's going to pour down, so i won't be doing any washing today.
Today should be payday at some point, however since it's not in i've transfered £100 out of my savings to take out to cover my rent.
I bought a wooden box yesterday a laundry hamper type box with a hinged lid, i was going to put it in my bedroom for all the extra blankets but now i'm thinking i'll put it in the livingroom for all the fiddly bits and get in here tidied up, it's not massive but not a bad size either, i only paid £8 off a local facebook selling page, it's def worth keeping an eye on these.DEC GC £463.67/£450

Tv licence refunded us £109 and i'm still waiting on my refund from plain lazy to clear, all of which will go into my savings. and i'm still waiting on my refund from plain lazy to clear, all of which will go into my savings.
Feeling much better today not 100% tho, but hopefully i won't end up overspending again, it was one of those zombie shops where you pick anything up and don't care what others are putting in your trolley, we had £15 of coke (£10 was for mil) £12 of toys, and a £30 elec toothbrush and heads, aswell as £5 of berries the kids picked up in the fruit isle.
Will update savings totals in the morning.DEC GC £463.67/£450
