£150 with hoarding isn't too bad!

You did well on the shopping front. Lol at the yoghurts. I bought a pack of cookies with the intention of having one per day (5 per pack). Me and OH floored the packet so that scuppered that plan.

Ooh you big spender you! Sounds like a yummy dinner!

Does the baby bath or shampoo foam well like hand soap? I don't spend a lot on it but this sounds super cheap!

shampoo foams more, is thicker so lasts longer and is cheaper at the mo :)

took the youngest swimming, £3.20 plus £20 for a locker and 20p in the food budget for sweets from the machine, coming out the school phoned to tell me on of the older ones had bumped there head, so i sent him to the sweety machine so he'd stop asking who i was talking to, older child is fine but the school has a new principle and it's now policy to phone home about all head injurys.

I'm away to make my lazy dinner :) it's been a looooooong day.

Morning all, looking abit grey here today, gonna risk it and hang some washing out.

I just had rice crispies and there awful i don't know why hubby likes them so much.

I've now costed by meals for a whle week and we've eaten £18.35 worth of food and lets face it we hardly starved, we also drank about 6 litres of milk so another £3 ofcourse this is only managable with whoopsies and a few free meals for the inlaws.

Today should be a nsd fingers crossed.

Need to fill my car up with fuel in the morning then i'll be going to the cash for clothes place, every little helps.

Dinners suppose to be pie and chips but since we had chips yesterday i'm gonna dig threw the freezer for something else.

Wow today was an expensive day...

Took clothes to cash for clothes, got £6.30 then went and spent £7 in poundland of sweets and drinks for the cinema.

Cinema cost £6 for all 5 of us and we bought no sweets ect so not too bad.

£30 on oil for our car cause it beeped at me when i turned a corner on friday so was clearly very very low, our oils really dear but thats the only things we ever pay for for our car, that and wipers.

    £45 on desil.

£15 on angrybirds toys, which i had reserved and completely planned on buying so no big deal.KIds love them.money well spent imo.

£63 in primark, went in to get hubby pants his are all falling apart and i can't acually remeber the last time we bought him some, decided while i was there i would buy the kids some jamies for xmas save me going pack again, so 2 x 2 pairs at £6 each, then they spotted spiderman jammies, so 3 pairs at £7 each, i also got myself elmo jammies, they were £13 but sooo cute, i got a pair of £1 balerina pumps, and i got hubby 2 x 5 packs of socks for £2 each.

Then finally we went out for our tea, we went to an all you can eat buffet, with unlimited drinks refilled, which cost £40 then we decied to get pudding for the kids which was another £4, they had a soft play area aswell so the kids had a fab day.

I also just bought the 2 for £35 plain lazy goody bags from the grabbits, if i get myself 2 hoodys, 4 t-shirts, 2 pairs of shorts and 2 shirts or dresses for £35 i'll be happy.

I think i'll just chalk today up to a blip, the kids had fun we all got some new clothes and it's less than a weeks savings so no biggy :)

Now i'm off to watch dr who with the lo cinema sweeties :)

How much do you need in terms of clothes for cash quintwins? I think we have one near us but don't want to take just a bin bag full in case you need bags and bags and bags of the stuff?

Sounds an expensive day but a good value day. I'm really of the belief that if you are careful with money 90% of the time, splash out the other 10% :D

Do they care about condition? What on earth do they do with the clothes? Doesn't matter about money really as anything is better than binning them if they aren't any good for the charity shop!

No they don't even check them, a few of mine were stained, some don't take towels and bedding tho, i suspect alot end up one bay as bundles and anything left gets turned into rags/cut up, you see huge bags of used fabric of ebay for crafters and quilters, there must be money in it or else why would there be so many shops popping up?

meal plan for this week is

    mon-tom, sweetcorn and bacon pasta
    tue- beef stew
wed- pie and mash, and cabbage
    thur-sheperds pie
    fri- chips beans and cheese
sat-sweet and sour chicken with rice
sun-beans and toast (dinner at in laws)

No shopping needed this week unless we run out of milk, which to be fair is likely but will only cost £2 max.Have loads of fruit in, and 2 loaves of bread plus, pittas and rolls.

£4 to the school in the morning.

rents due on friday so another £150.
