took the youngest swimming, £3.20 plus £20 for a locker

When I was reading your previous posts I spotted this which made me chuckle. Did you buy the locker? You know you can just pay a small amount to 'hire' instead!!!:rotfl:

no chance of herbal tea in this house, i'm the only one who drinks any hot drinks, hubby never had any as a child so hates them and i hate herbal teas, unless it's fruit tea left to cool as a juice, but heres a mug you can borrow :coffee:

:rotfl::rotfl: thats one expensive locker, i'd wanna be taking it home with me for that price.

Planning ahead and i have a shopping list done for next week, i should acually come in under budget this month, i'm doing abit of stocking up in the hope that i can then avoid the shops other than lidl for milk and bread for another few weeks.

Morning all, it was very stormy all night last night, i know this because we have a tin roof and it woke me up several times, then it was really really cold this morning so i kept hitting snooze and slept in :o

It's acually dry and clear today so i have 2 loads of the line and a load of bedding in the machine, but i washed a tossie so some of the stuff on the line may need to go back in :(.

Very refunded me £5 for my bogof sheets i'd have rather had the sheets but i guess if i'm not willing to buy them full price then maybe i don't really need them.I'm not transfering it over ye theres no point if i end up having to transfer it back out again to pay my rent.

Plain lazy are refunding me £35 but it will take a few days to clear in my paypal then transfer it over.

Got my £5 tesco voucher for my yukky spuds so that will help keep the spends under control for teh rest of the month.

Have meal planned for the rest of the month. And a shopping list for next week.

I'm starting to think about winter, hubby has made me a wood store out of old pallets, he also has lots of old pallets to cut up for me, so i'm hoping to get some coal and logs, problem with logs is that we have a wee pot belly stove so he'll end up having to cut them smaller to fit them in, which makes me wonder if it's worth it, i want to make paper brickettes but we have no where to store them to dry.Need to think about some gloves for me, i'll prob just get a few cheap pairs of magic gloves and dig out the kids gloves aswell, hubby won;t wear gloves but he does need a new coat, but i can't get him to go shopping with me to pick one and try it one he keeps saying it's ok i'll wear my old one, which has no hood and is falling apart!!

Making a big pot of stew for tea, will be a very cheap meal, 58p for the beef shin, 2 onions 10p, carrots 20p, spuds 40p and abit of gravy 10p= £1.38 and i'll keep 2 extra portion for lunch tomorrow. todays lunch is lo pasta from yesterday with sweetcorn for ds and i found a tub of lo chinese in the freezer so i'm having that.

Morning all, i have £10 in my bank now thats abit scary :O so today will be another nsd, i'm used to a £200 buffer i cut it to £100 a while ago, but having nothing is a change for me.

It's very cold and very wet here, i will hang a load of washing on the clothes horse in abit, i'm just having a bowl of porridge, very frugal :) to be fair i'm starving and it's freezing so it seemed like a good choice.lo stew for lunch, then pies chips, peas and gravy for tea :) real comfort food.

I need spuds sadly when i was making stew i had to throw alot of iffy ones out, hence why were having chips, i need bread and milk aswell, i may run into lidl to stop me overspending.

I'm on a £250 buffer but I think I might go £10 over next month when the credit card DD comes out! You've made me feel better... I could get closer to the wire.

Just using up the remaining muesli then we'll switch to porridge for the autumn/winter!

I don't really need a buffer tbh, we get paid weekly we get £230, and our biggest bills is our phone bill every quarter at £180, then our elec bill which should be around £150 a quarter, and my rents £150 a month and let face it none of those are un expected so i can always cover them with that weeks money.I also have a £200 completely free overdraft, so nothing will ever not get paidd i just like having a buffer.

It's soooo cold, i just hung washing out and the wind it bitterly cold, hopefully i'll get a few loads dried tho.
