Shoes taken back to office; refunded postage. None in stock, clarks had some but they were too wide. We did find the perfect pair - in Kurt Geiger
No discount for students. DD spotted a very minor mark on one shoe - almost imperceptible. 10% discount awarded! (DD was embarrassed but I wasn't:rotfl:)

Just sat in lounge - noticed a gerbil (one of 3 brothers) with blood; got him out, think they've been fighting, isolated him and could only find one other - scuttles in sawdust to find another has shuttled off this mortal coil. No visible injuries but shall assume was a fight to the death:( These were/are my gerbils.

WM on for 4th time; TD on - in July!

Free listing on e bay this weekend.

Wedding dress has been collected by an agency who are going to sell it for me. It was huge and took up so much space. I'm so glad. I didn't want to sell it myself as didn't want people coming around to try it on as we don't have the space. Hopefully it will sell otherwise it will go to charity shop after a year.

Had an asthma attack thing in Argos this morning when returning a broken alarm clock, so haven't done too much flying today.

Rain has been horrendous and the stream behind our house only has about 3" left before it breaks its banks and we are in trouble. Part of the dancing school has flooded too. Sunny vibes for the East Midlands pretty please and the rest of the country.

Bonnie how are DDs hives? Do you still think it is grass? Why did you have to pay to see a GP?

She is still suffering, it ranges from speckles all over her body to swollen red burning hives, again all over her body. Don't think it's grass now, but can't link it to anything in particular eg food, toiletries, washing powder etc.

To cut a very long story short, the locum GP she saw on Wed was not helpful. The next day she flared up again and had a major freak out re exam next week she's missing rehearsals for (dance) and if she doesn't attend/pass she'll fail the entire BTEC. In desperation, appointment begged with allergy specialist in private clinic in next town. This was a success, full assessment, short-term treatment plan, drugs suggested and letter written to GP with request for urgent prescription; letter handed into surgery as urgent with polite explanatory letter from me.

Found GP surgery had ignored request for urgent prescription when I went to collect meds from the pharmacy and they weren't there. Went to the surgery and begged for it to be done today; this was apparently not possible, but would most likely be in pharmacy tomorrow afternoon. I just hope they are there or I fear I may be on the front of the local paper next week as "broke, angry Mum in PMT flip-out"

She attended the original appointment alone as I had a work trial for an upcoming paid position where I'm currently volunteering, which I needed to attend or no paid work for me. I've been unemployed for 11 months so I had to go. Trial passed, then I'm told position reduced from 21 hours to 7 hours per week. I could have cried. I will take the 7 hours is offered officially but wish I had sacrificed it to be with DD and be more forceful with the useless locum.

So I'm upset for DD, angry at the GP, angry at myself, angry at my potential employer, upset for myself and the best part of £300 stuck on my credit card. And this is the short version :rotfl:

My sense of humour is gradually returning but yesterday and most of today have been horrible. If there had been a skip or fire in view of my house I would have picked up all mess and flung it away onto said skip or into fire.

But Murray is in the final - big big hurray :j Come on Tim!! - just for you, rowan tree :D A large glass of white - from bottle donated by kind friend earlier who could see I was on the edge  - currently being [STRIKE]glugged rapidly[/STRIKE] sipped daintily. Housework? I shoved some semi dry towels in the TD earlier, changed my bed and made a casserole for the bumpkin teens.

Love, hugs, sticks, spoons, whatever you want, you've got it!!

I am officially a lazy beast!!!

I have had a broken pushchair in my front room for 4 years.. I intended to strip it and sell as parts.. I have put it off 4 years and it just took me less than 10 minutes to strip it and bin the broken bits!!!! I am disgusted at myself!

It is so often those jobs we put off that only take 10 minutes :D

Flying today consisted of cleaning the bathroom and descaling the toilet.

Spent 2 hours at least teaching my mother how to use a smartphone (just text/calls/photos/contacts for now)

DS1 at his VI form prom
DS2 has completely got everything ready for DofE exp tomorrow without any assistance

    WM on
    DW emptied

Busy weekend as ever complicated by Sunday having torch relay in our town, GP, Tennis final and DH is supposed to be doing more decorating - weekend No3 of it and still no paint on walls or ceiling and more woodwork to do. I offered to help but DH was not keen.

Oh BB poor DD. What did the specialist think was causing it? So odd how these things suddenly start, DS2 grass allergy and DS3 apple allergy both just appeared and I hope will both just disappear too. I hope you find the answer and get the prescription.

I'd help you sort your house into shape if you were close-by, where in Kent are you? Not that I am familiar with Kent?

Having a check through to see what's left for the weekend...

Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Clear a hotspot (tick)
    Defrost freezer and meal plan
    HHI (tick)

Tuesday - Living Room, Hall & Stairs

    Wednesday - Bathrooms
    Wipe tiles
Wash bath mats. (Tick. And towels and quilted throw.)

Thursday - Master Bedroom and Landing
    HHI (tick)

Friday - Kids' Rooms and/or Study
    Catch up on paperwork

also thinking I might paint the skirting and doorframes in the downstairs loo (tick), and possibly dining room too (tick). Recently used a spray on radiator enamel in kitchen and bedroom which looks great, so might go purchase some of that. And I really ought to start putting together the scrapbook for the kiddies, I have gathered everything, even put photos in date order, just need to actually stick them in... (tick, well made a start). Lastly I'm going to have a bit of me time and declutter my eyebrows, and sort finger and toenails out, think we're ready for some new polish!
