Morning all, Sad to hear that a horse was killed in a collision on the m6 yesterday :(, on a lighter note in response to one of the above posts, I've really wanted an Ipad for ages, oddly just to read magazines on and make it look pretty, but my mum has one and tbf it isn't that impressive. Has anyone got an android tablet? Are they any better? Can you do same stuff as on the Ipad?

Hope you all have some good luck today, I'm going to do my daily hour of comping before trotting of to the land of nod.. it's nice there :)

    Morning all

Postie is meant to be redelivering a parcel i missed today so hope its something nice. Hope it will be my tesco beauty goody bag win.

I don't want to tempt fate but after a night of resisting the itch and smothering the bites in antiseptic cream they seem a lot less fierce this morning but we will see. MIL said she heard somewhere that Drs have seen a big rise in multiple bites lately. Suppose it will teach me bit to sit in the garden til late at night :rotfl:

Well done in getting your wins Sheils. Must try and get on PC to do some conping tonight but still have so much to do at home so may have to wait.

Have a lucky day every one

    G'Day all!

That was a nice lot of post for you sheils, well done, hope ours brings something nice today.

Off to see Dad shortly, have to get back early as we have a bloke coming to give us a quote for replacing our front porch. It's looking very tatty and starting to rot so we may get it double glazed. Depends on the price.

Vikki when we were looking at buying our DD an iPad the Christmas before last, one of the techie guys at work said Androids were better because you can use USBs etc with them. That's another draw back with iPads IMO, nowhere to use 'Plug Ins'.

Hope everyone has lots of luck today x

Not really set a time frame for getting one, I suppose when I can justify parting with the money for one as my bf and I are currently saving for a deposit for a mortgage so any spare cash is going into that atm. :)

    Morning everyone :)

Went to bed with a headache and woke up with one :( gonna have a nice bath soon then a walk with jasper to see if I can shift it.

Well done Sheils on getting your wins! :T hope your headaches gone too xx

Good luck with the dailies fire**fly ;) I haven't been doing them lately. Have you had many wins from them? I was also wondering if anyone says yes to any of the questions asked, I always tick 'not interested'.

Becks, have you tried bicarbonate of soda in bath water for the itchy bites? I know it's good for chicken pox so may be good for bites too. I've heard there's an increase in mossies too! Don't know how...the weather hasn't been that great!

Hope your dads well today Sue. Good luck with getting a new porch. I would love a porch on my house but our front door is on the side with a shared drive! I said to DH we could alter it and put door on front drive so we could have a porch but he won't as we would be the only house with front door! I like to be different! :D

Hope it's a lucky day for us all today ;)

  • Went to the Expendables 2 Premiere last night (thanks fizzyhelen!).

But was rather let down by a seating error, which left me and my girlfriend sat on opposite sides of the cinema :( so we didn't stay to watch the film as we couldn't share the experience. Although it was quite an experience to walk the red carpet!

Thanks Wingo. Will give it a try if they get bad again. Waiting for postie... Hope he hurries up as want to be out of the house by quarter to twelve :D

Best mate is really living the high life... He has barely been to work the last few weeks. He had time off for our wedding and our stay and today he is off to watch cricket - alright for some :rotfl:

Thinking of making a display wall with all the lovely photo frames we received for our wedding but I am not over keen on having a wall of wedding photos :rotfl: we had so many though would be a shame to waste them. Will have to have a think.

Think i am going to sell some unwanted things on Ebay too. I need to make my spare room a bit mire like a bedroom for guests rather than a dumping ground :rotfl:

    Any one like decorating? :D

That's a shame theblessedone, but I bet the red carpet experience was something you'll remember.

Just had the quote for our porch, £2,435, less than we thought so that's a go. It's the same people that did our conservatory and we're very pleased with that, happy Days!

    Still no post here :(
