The Compers Inn part 37

Morning everybody.
DH has an ipad (I won it, but as Im not that bothered I gave it to him) even though Id like one, I would only really use it the same way I use my ipod touch (that DH gave me when he got the ipad) which is just to check [STRIKE]delete the spam[/STRIKE] emails. I would never use one for comping though. I just sit on the PC all day. I did have a laptop, but it has now died. TBF I did buy it second hand 2 years ago. The PC isn't great either, but its ok for internet and thats the main thing, till I can get a new laptop (hoping for a win)
Sorry to hear you couldn't see the film theblessedone, but that red carpet walk must have been once in a lifetime experience for us mere mortals (ie not famous enough to go to many). Id love to do that, but until the kids grow up a bit the comps like that I can't enter. There are so many things Id enter if we didn't have children to consider (city breaks here, holidays for 2 there, tickets for this and that, spa breaks etc).
Good luck with getting that spare room sorted Becks. I dont mind decorating once I get into it, but its the getting ready to decorate and clearing up the decorating tools afterwards I really CBA with.
Hope your headache clears up soon Wingo.
For everyone else good luck with today, hope there's some good wins out there for us. Here's me blowing some lucky dust over MSE today.Current Aims: Laptop/PC, decent money, holiday

My DD had a packet from Garnier with a congratulations slip but it was empty. She asked them about it on their wall and they gave her an email address to write to. She did that nearly a week ago and they haven't even bothered replying.
No post at all here todayHate days like that, I'd rather get a piece of Junk mail, at least you know he's been then.

I got in touch with them and they were very apologetic and said that they'll send out another pair of boots and will send them via UPS Express at no extra cost.
It was just annoying because you would have thought that a shoe company would know when a box was too light to have boots in it, which made me wonder if somewhere in the delivery process, the boots had been stolen as the sellotape on the box wasn't very secure so looked like someone might have taken them out and then put the sellotape back on, but that might just be me being cynical...2019 Wins

We had no post either and I'm the same Sue Id like to receive even a bit of junk just so I know he's been. We get lovefilm so I like the days when we are due to get one as we know something is coming so know that the postie will come to us. Tomorrow's an expected lovefilm day so I know he should come. We also live rurally so don't get our post before lunch, sometimes its as late as 4PM so those days where we get nothing if we don't see him I spend most of the day wondering. On the positive side though, he comes, I get no win I know its not long till the next day of potential WEMs and WTCCurrent Aims: Laptop/PC, decent money, holiday

Just had a WEM for a limited edition Weetabix tin (there were 5,000 winners so not really that limited). Check your SPAM as that's where mine went.
On an even better note, the local football tote lady has just been for her money and bought me a cheque for £50Luck is believing you’re lucky – Tennessee Williams

I didn't get oneIts these things (where there's a lot of winners) that make me feel a little unlucky (like the May Glamour giveaway which I also didn't get anything). To be fair though they do have over 121 thousand likes so 5000 is a hell of a lot smaller. Oh well, keep trying. Well done BTW
Ive just been down to the local village hall to pick some ducks and to buy a raffle ticket. We are having a village fete this weekend (its annual, but Ive only lived here 5 months so this is my first one) there is a duck race and a raffle (among others) so hopefully I might win something there (£50 top prize for the Duck Race, TV top prize for the raffle)Current Aims: Laptop/PC, decent money, holiday
