    The media?
You make quite a generalisation there.
I work on knowing people who have submitted video evidence to the Police here in Edinburgh.
I get to see the behaviour demonstrated on the roads most days whether I be on the bike or in the car.

    What generalisation do I make?

Every link you have posted on here is a media story of what you feel is unjust. Somebody was sentenced within guidelines yet only you and the daily mail seem to make an issue of it.

That moped clip shows you know very little about the rules of evidence. If there is an offence committed identification is an issue.

So death is the only benchmark?
    No endangerment?

Did you bother to read the article?

    So what happened here?
Or is threatening with words an offence, but physically threatening someone not?

Really,or if the cyclist pushes the Police until they relent?
You stated I was buying into what the media was posting.
I however have real life experience of what its like on the roads for cyclists. I have dealt with the Police lack of interest. I have had to push them to even take a statement.
I am part of the cycling 'circle' in Edinburgh and have seen plenty of videos that have been submitted to Police(with impacts, threats etc) yet nothing ever is done

So you have a biased opinion then? In your view they can do no wrong.

When you pushed to give a statement did it result in a successful prosecution?

So am i biased, buying into the media or what?
Nope no prosecution.I would say its unfortunate I had no video camera footage of the car that left me on the road.
however as we know, without a panel of independent witnesses I probably headbutted it in an act of provocation.

once more, what is your answer. You tell me there's always a reason fro no prosecution.
so what about the bus driver driving through 2 brothers on a clear road?

No prosecution, shows they were right not to take a statement then.

Really. So now the Police don't even need to take statements now?
This really is a streamlined service now.

Is there any point in taking a statement when the matter isn't going anywhere? No, because it won't get read and it will just be filed.

Well how does this get decided?
So you speak to someone at the reception area and they make a call there and then?
So what are the parameters to this?
    Hit by car
    hit by car and grazed
hit by car and injured requiring medical care
hit by car and requiring hospital treatment
    hit by car and dead
Do they just go down the list?

Your being stupid now, how do you give a statement if you're dead.

    Well where is the point?
You were fine with the moped as nobody died. So where's the point where action is required by the Police?
