Lilly - I have seen a bit of QVC and I find it annoying that the presenters constantly talk over the people they are with. Very rude.
On the subject of correct wording I gave my children a little lecture this morning that the word have has not been replaced in the English language with the word of. What is going on with that? If I had known you were coming I would of baked a cake:mad:Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Lovely and sunny here today. Yesterday in CS I managed to walk away from a brand new BS Hemp Handcream at £2.50 and a Neals Yard Perfume spray at £8.50, so gave myself a little mental pat on the back:j
watching bits of Q** beauty day whilst tidying, but being good, but only really want to see the LD show this evening, he makes me laugh and his polishes are great on my really ridged nails, BUT I wish he was not quite so orange, I know he sells the stuff but....
Have a great day, hugs to all that need them and for those working, hope you get an easy one.
Hi, it's sunny here too but there's a cold wind. I caught some of the L'Occitane hour earlier. We are revisiting Cheshire Oaks on 28 July though as MrM wants to buy his suit from there for the cruise and he also wants some Badian shower gel so I know we will be visiting the L'Occitane store. Wish I could find their prices online so I could compare as QVC are selling a trio of them at the moment.
I know what you mean about LD's complexion colour. His tanning product reminds me of Soul Glo from Coming to America. lol. I spoke too soon about my nail colour. Loads chipped off just one finger whilst I was doing my housework. Am removing it all and am going to wear LD Leading Lilac next. Somehow Pirouette has managed to get under the Steel Appeal and I'm having to use foil to remove.seasideDreamer wrote: »UUs- No 7 Essential moisure day cream, skin therapy intensive moisurising body lotion, soap, a Gilchist and Soames mini body butter, 4 garnier ultralift samples and a bb sample.
What is the Gilchrist and Soames body butter like. This is the brand that will be in our room on the cruise. Please let me know.I had a UU last night, TBS coconut body butter WIBA?: I much prefer my sanctuary souffle as it took me a while to get used to the thick texture of this. It really is like smearing butter all over yourself! Having said that, I have more in the drawer and I will happily open one of them up to use. So, WIBA? Yes, if available at that sort of offer again
It's 4 weeks today that we go to Florida. I was just having a little look at what to buy and meandering around the bath and body works website. Tbh, I think I'll steer clear as it doesn't look that cheap to me. Hope evryone's well? I'm off to cub Olympics later on this afternoon, helping out but I'm not sure what I'll be doing and am just hoping it doesn't rain too hard!
Eta: I'm coveting some of the mua eyeshadows but have some more to UU before I need any. Interestingly enough, the bb cream I've been using has made a massive difference to my eyeshadow. It makes it really stand out and it lasts all day or night which is marvelmouse!
It's 4 weeks on Saturday that we go away so you are escaping our horrible weather a week before me. Have you visited Florida before? Are you going to Orlando? I actually love Bath and Body Works. They have loads of fab offers on like 5 for 4 across the whole range. We usually visit in October so usually just catch the Christmas offers and the Christmas fragrances are lovely.
The MUA palette I have is lovely. As someone posted above they do apply very smoothly.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Have just had a look. Yes, that's the one I had before. You should go for it as it is a lovely fragrance. Haven't smelt the others in the kit but they sound as if they are quite soft rather than fruity. Thanks for flagging this up for me but I really must not. Shower gels are probably now the one product that I have ample of including about 4 bottles of Philosophy (one of which being one of the super sized). If they release this again for Christmas I'll get one then. Enjoy xBack for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I'm reading along with the thread and you're all keeping me company, which is lovely
The sad news is that my Grandmother died on Sunday morning but it is one of those cases where it's definitely 'for the best'. She was a remarkable woman and lived well (and independently) for most of her life. She had a happy 103rd (!) birthday earlier this year, so we know she was very lucky. We had managed to get her into a peaceful nursing home for the final three weeks, so that was good as well. (I'm still not impressed with the hospital for effectively kicking her out when she was still very ill with an infection though...)
I'm just catching up with the thread for the first time in days and I'm so humbled that you would still think about me having a rubbish day or two at work when you've lost your Grandmother, you really are amazingly selfless and so thoughtful of others. I'm so sorry to hear of your loss, massive hugs. I'm sure the thread, as well as family of course, will be a source of comfort as everyone is so kind and supportive. I'm sure you have many very happy memories of your Grandmother that you'll cherish too.0 -

sorry to rant but am so annoyed to be duped by this woman.
I try hard to describe things properly and don't see why people can get away with things like this....watch this space
Rosemary I've had a few bad experiences with Ebay lately after using it for years without issue. An Accessorize beach bag sold new as tags arrived stinking of smoke and with what looked like a combined coffee and chocolate stain on the bottom! Luckily the seller was very accomodating and claimed to have been selling on behalf of a friend who'd assured her the descriptions were accurate. I got a full refund and the cost of posting it back.
I also had a problem with a dress which had a large blood stain on it!!!!! That was every bit as disgusting as it sounds (I hope no one is eating!) Again, once I'd sent a pic, the seller refunded me and apologised profusely.
And finally just this week I've bought a jumpsuit for hols which has loads of cracked stitching and loose threads and isn't the size that was stated!
It is very annoying as I won't sell a thing on there unless I'm sure the condition is good, I've checked the item over etc. I'm not up-to-date with the thread at the moment so hopefully you've had some joy with the refund - maybe she takes deliberately blurred pics - makes you wonder.0 -

happy pampering, xo[/LEFT]
I really like this too and bought a second copy to get another tube but I'm having a bit of a reaction at the moment, red irritated skin on my face and neck, which must be down to either this or Neal's Yard Rehydrating Rose moisturiser as these are the only two new products I've introduced recently. They're both fairly strongly scented but very natural so I'm surprised but will try and work out which one is the culprit by bringing them back in one at a time. I'm hoping its the Neal's Yard that my skin doesn't like as I'm not a fan of the scent and also find it very runny and that I have to use a lot.0 -
Well done. That's when it gets really satisfying isn't it?
Hi ladies. I would hearily recommend Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser. You can buy it in three different variations - Normal/combination, dry/sensitive and light (meant for more oily skin). I've tried them all and not one of them feels uncomfortable. It might be worth ordering a travel size from the LE website to try first.
Thank you for the recommendation Val, I'll try that out. I'm definitely on the hunt for my HG moisturiser, not really got much stashed in the way of moisturisers, mainly just a few minis I'm saving for hols.0 -

Crikey, they sound dreadful, I've had my fair share of grotty things from ebay too. Smoke smell is particularly bad.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Hello folks!! It never ceases to amaze me how fast this thread moves, I am really sorry but I haven't read it all through, so here are lots of love, hugs and positive thoughts being sent out, take your pick and have as many as you want/need, I know some of you are having some tough times at the mo.
I just popped on here to say that I'm :j:j:j because mother dearest asked me to get her some hair dye today, which meant i did the usual trawl (Boots/Superdrug etc) to check for offers and I came away with ONLY the hair dye and NOTHIING ELSE to add to my stash. I know it probably doesn't sound all that impressive but for me it's amazing!!
Love to you all xx0
