I applied for a aqua credit card (the advanced one) the one where the interest rate goes down each year or each month which ever one if I pay my bills on time and in full which always happens. I've currently got a barclaycard initial visa and a tesco credit card/club card.0

The Aqua card, I applied for came with an offer of £20 Amazon voucher.
I followed their instructions to the letter, made my monthly payment each month and also paid off balance when able each month. Never going over the credit limit.
They have now received a letter saying I wouldn't receive amazon voucher, as I had to pay off balance for three consecutive months/Statements?
These are terms of Amazon voucher.... As on email.

Here is my story.
I have an Aqua Credit Card (1 week old) and I was pretty happy with it. I used it as normal for everyday shopping.
Yesterday I used my card at Sainbury's, everything went through. Then the same day, in the evening, I had to go again to Sainbury's and the card payment has been declined however I had more than enough available credit.
Unfortunately, I was not able to call the customer service, was closed... Pffff.
Today, I called them. They said there is a security block on my account. The agent transferred me to the relevant department - and the call was dropped two times exactly when that "relevant department" answered my call.
Third time, when I tried to reach them, they said they cannot get access to my account so she cannot get further information about this issue, but I will be contacted by the Head Office through the post. What???? I used my card as normal.
I gave it another try, and the guy informed me that the Head Office is dealing with my account, and I will receive a letter in due course.
Have you ever heard about such a case? What could it be??? Thanks in advance.0 -

Phone them again. What have you spent on the card? How often have you used it? What's the amount used versus the limit?
If you've had the card a week and used it several times making whatever purchases this might just be a safety measure: while it's tempting to ramp a balance up on a new card - and even if you don't - you don't have any spending pattern they could see yet: some people might use the card for shopping/petrol once a week or so, and the odd online purchase, then pay off and so on whereas since your card is new, all Aqua see is X transactions in a short space of time.0 -
I need to know if this is a bonafide company as applied on-line never heard anything. didn't get an acceptance letter, and a security team out-of-the-blue called me on my phone to say an account had been opened in my name and used in another part of the country and asked me if it was me - they agreed it wasn't me as I don't live there and don't use cash however they advised me to wait for further instructions and I needed the account number anyway to see the paperwork and to register on-line however they just sent me the bill and when I phoned to get further instructions they said the account was blocked and they couldn't talk to me. I have assume it is not a bonfide company, the on-line system is a fake etc. They eventually said I should SEND THEM MY PASSPORT !!!! After 35 phonecalls to them they [said] they could try my own memorable password but it didn't work. I don't know if they mean the original password I would have used during the online application, or if someone has stolen it or if some other person has put the password in their system. They wouldn't advise me what to do or talk to me about my account. Eventually they gave me an address but changed their minds about the postcode, and neglected to tell me I could send a bill from within last 3 months to try to sort out the identity problem (I did find a recent phone bill so it wasn't a problem (but I was supposed to be going away instead of waiting at home for them for 3 weeks and they didn't specify the three month limit.) The phone bill wont be within 3 months in a few weeks time; so I can only assume the company I am dealing with is a fraud and were attempting to steal my passport + identity. I made about 35 calls over 24 hours and occasionally I got a nice older woman-type who was actually quite nice however mostly when I phoned they just cackled with laughter like they were having a party and put the phone down. They wouldn't tell me what the procedure for the registering a new card is so I don't even know how anyone else could have done this. They wouldn't tell me the complaints procedure. I eventually got it out of them that as I blocked the card ( they'd sent me a new one) there is a security issue about ''the password'' - they said ''failed security test'' even though no-one even asked me for a password. I have now got a crime reference number from the police but I will have to go in person and visit the offices in Sheffield with the Sheffield police. They said I could send the documents REGISTERED POST but a few further calls they CHANGED THE ADDRESS and admitted they would get it as its a PO box where no-one will sign for it. I was actually in the process of selling my house so its a good job I didn't and instead am going to rent it out - hence the need to get a few things in the home depot store so I cant even use it. They have so far NOT offered to suspend the interest whilst the issues COPY of my passport. How these people sleep at night, I do not know. They also admitted to not writing down my complaints + issues but that phonecalls are recorded. I have figured out they someone may have phoned up to register the card so it would have been recorded. I believe the card was used by someone in their office whilst I was on the phone to their office. I am not afraid of libel as everything is absolutely true and I am going the police tomorrow.

I have had an aqua card for about a year now. My initial limit was 250. They upped it to 1050.00in the summer and have just increased if again to 1500.
I made a payment lTe once (on the day it was due, they put a temp stop on my card, called me andconfirmed that they could see payment waiting to hit my account. They refunded the late payment charge.
I've had no issues with them.0 -
I applied online for an Aqua Classic card about 4 weeks ago. I received a letter from them informing me of the 'good news' that I had been accepted at a rate of 49.9% APR.
I have an unhealthy credit history which is the main reason for applying to Aqua in the hope of rebuilding my credit. (I have learned my lesson from past experiences).
I sent in my ID as requested and received it back last week. Yesterday, my pin number came through.
This morning I received a letter stating that my credit card has been cancelled due to a recent risk assessment of my account and I should destroy it immediately! I haven't actually received it yet!
I have no idea what has happened. I applied for a Vanquis card and a Luma card all on the same day. Has this affected my Aqua application?
Has this happened to anyone else? I am worried that this will look bad on my credit report which is exactly what I am trying to avoid.
Any advice would be welcome. Thanks :mad:0
