Why would you possibly need 3 credit cards?
Probably didn't, but was probably thinking "One of these must accept me", then one of them does, then cancels it when they notice the other searches, thinking the user is in desperate need of credit.

I disagree here, my "Available Balance" was pretty much updated instantly upon the shop processing the transaction, and credits to the account updated my "Available Balance" within hours. How much faster do you expect it to be?

The account statement took longer, but to honest, I don't care. I know what I've spent and what I've paid back, the only thing I care about (my available balance) works quickly enough for me for both credits and debits.

Yrep same with me. I've got around £150 free from Aqua so can confirm that in the vast majority of cases ignore threads like this and take the free money!!

I have now moved onto Luma so hops it lasts a while!
  • Excellent credit history and applying for an aqua card Doesnt make sense what's wrong with the Amex or capital one 5% cashback or even the Santander 123 card.
I got the Aqua card a couple of weeks ago,ONLY because I'll get a £20 credit if I stay within my credit limit for the 1st 2 months.I will only use credit cards for the deals and protection they offer for purchases over £100,and will ALWAYS pay off in full, within the interest free period,in short...use THEM,DON'T let them use you/me ;) The deal has saved me £30 on a £129 Hannspree Tablet (Android 10.1") from ASDA. £10 via an ASDA voucher,£20 as I used the AQUA card, and I collect on Friday Dec 27th,from my local store,so save on p+p.

    HAPPY DAYS

Another happy Aqua customer here also.

Opened the account in November 2012 with £250 limit, increased to £500 after 3/4 months, £800 a few months after that, then £1400, and have recently had a letter stating they're increasing my limit to £1900.

I use the card a lot. Their customer service is great, but not 24/7. I also find the card to be a little blocked prone, i.e. if I use it twice in the same shop quickly, it'll decline/block. It also gets blocked if I use it online for a large amount (£300+).

I'm flying to the US in a few weeks, and am hoping to use it there, so will see if it gets blocked. Have let them know already. :)

I had my card since December 2012 and the same has happened with me. I just had my limit raised to £1900 this month. Had increases every 3-4 months.

I did place an order from scan computers for £450 late one evening but got a call the next morning to carry out security checks and inform me of a declined transaction so advised me to re-order with scan.

Overall I am extremely happy with Aqua and I intend to keep the account running once I move to a prime card.

Like the UK call centres and faster payments hit account instantly in most cases. Aqua are the no 1 sub prime lender from my prospective. I have had CAP1 and Vanquis in the past.
