What an awful company, awful customer service, awful products.
The bb is like a slug, their cs give out the wrong numbers and you get given the run around and to top it off they sent me a bill on 28th June and said I had to 9th July to pay and then suspended my service on the 29th June.
If anyone is considering moving over to TT then reconsider.

They do indeed have a reputation for poor customer service."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

I posted the same on their own forums and you always get some who are loyal to TT
They told me that I shouldn't expect a reply to my questions as their mods only work office hours *shrugs* For a company that operates online and provides an online service then this isn't good enough, they need to get into the 21st century.
I've moved providers now.Karma - the consequences of ones acts."It's OK to falter otherwise how will you know what success feels like?"1 debt v 100 days £20000 -
Well, I have found Talktalk to be fine. On the odd occasion that something has gone wrong it has been resolved quickly.

Words, words, they're all we have to go by!.
(Pity they are mangled by this autocorrect!)0 -
I have suffered a list of problems with them. The best one being when they closed my account for 4 months and I couldn't login or retrieve any of my information.
I hope you never have any problems polly but if you ever do make sure you contact them in office hours. Some of us only work office hours and can't contact during these times but I don't think they've thought of that lol.Karma - the consequences of ones acts."It's OK to falter otherwise how will you know what success feels like?"1 debt v 100 days £20000 -

I've been with TalkTalk for just over 5 years now - had no major problems.
Worst was last September when I came home to no broadband, no phone.
The reason? Virgin Media subcontractor opening up the cable ducts to replace lengths of fibre and damaging the copper - it was fixed by 8 pm though, and they knew about the problem when I called the customer service number, and free redirect to an alternate number for the duration.0 -
Yes, I've had no end of problems with them too. When I moved house they told me it would be free to transfer my service but they started me with a new contract and package (little did I know that it wasn't unlimited broadband and I had to pay for calls to Spain which were free with my old package). They also charged me £50 connection fee. After LOTS of phone calls I eventually got my money back. They kept telling me that the connection was free but their policy is to charge £50 and then give it back after 2-3 months! I could write a book regarding other problems I've had with them. Numerous phone calls to India have driven me to disctraction! :mad:0

Good luck when you come the switch. They simply refused to stop charging me after I switched to another supplier. Luckily I had cancelled the direct debit at the end of the contract. As a result, they threatened me with a debt collection agency and I threatened them with legal action for attempting to charge for a service that were not supplying.
A truly awful company.0 -
Yep, their CS is bad. I rang them last Friday to tell them they may not receive my payment due to the problems that RBS had (i'm with RBS) and the first question I was asked was 'so when will we receive payment, can you ring tomorrow and let us know the exact day' ermm no, I can't let you know as I don't know myself!! Anyway, the DD has come out now so they should be happy!0

Horrible company, had them at uni last year and the internet service provided was appalling. Not to mention that whenever I phoned I was told it was my laptop that has a fault, not their line (odd how my laptop works brilliantly on the Virgin Media internet we have at home then).£2023 in 2023 challenge - £17.79 January0
