Well, Rapid Paying when nudged, one of those invoices was over a month late ;) and I've had to threaten to go on strike to prompt him into paying before now! He's lovely, just a bit disorganised! DF2012 is right, Regular Private Client, which I agree, does sound very dodgy, but in this context the 'Private' is opposed to work coming via the agency I work for (which has suddenly got very busy, hence I've only just finished work this evening :D).

Robbie the farrier arrived today :T:T:T I sent him a text yesterday to say that the boys were getting a bit long in the hoof now and could he fit us in next time he was out west, and got a reply this morning to say how about this afternoon on his way home? Because he'd missed the last appointment, he refused to take any payment whatsoever for today - I tried my hardest to get him at least to accept £20, but he wasn't having any of it. Bless him, I'll make him some of my chocolate brownies to take home next time he's here :)

I have a fab farrier :) He officially charges £20 a horse for a trim, but always refuses to take any more than £30 for my two, sometimes it's £20 for both and occasionally nothing at all. I do wonder how he makes a living sometimes, but apparently 'there are other people who don't look after their horses as well as you do who make up for it'!

Another busy day. £20-worth of transcribing for the agency (that's two days in a row I've typed for them - they have a lot of files with Glaswegian accents coming through, so anything that gets given up on by a typist for accent reasons is being passed to me!), just over £10-worth of proofreading and just under £10-worth of work for Mr RPC. There was work available this evening, but I had to tackle the ironing pile otherwise Mr Minx would have been going to work naked tomorrow.

    My favourite quote of today:
Interviewer: What stage are you at in respect of pension planning?
    Interviewee: Panic.

I sympathise! I was wondering if I could get mine out of the Pension Protection Fund and into a SIPP, but apparently you're not allowed to transfer out, so if I want to go down that route I'll have to start a new one.

Lol I have a visions of Mr Minx going to work naked along with you trying to get your farrier to take money and your regular private client keeping you smiling - I think I must be tired so shall take myself off to bed and be sure not to read anything other than Miss Marple tonight!

Just musing this morning...given I may be about to have a small pony about the place, I'm wondering if there would be an interest in setting up a website all about ideas for things to do with Shetlands, minis and outgrown kids' ponies? So many of them end up just being lawnmowers because people don't want to sell on part of the family, when there's really an awful lot that can be done with them in terms of in-hand schooling, in-hand hacking, horse agility, trick-training, driving etc. etc. etc. Will do some research....
