Huh. 1 took longer than I thought, 2 got fitted in around it, about a 10th of 3 got done and part of 5 (ran out of daylight to run in and my trainer hasn't responded to my question about what the stretching exercises he wants me to do are - I googled them, one came up with a load of fish recipes and the other was some kind of fiendish press-up with dumbbells, I'm pretty sure he doesn't mean for me to do either!). However, I've requested a light day on the proofreading front tomorrow because I went over my scheduled hours for today, so hopefully I can get caught up. I did get three loads of laundry done as well, it wasn't a totally lost day.0

Pete the Roofer is back. I love Pete, he's chatty, great company, a fab roofer and completely trustworthy. He's been doing some work for one of my neighbours this week and has been chuntering to them about my gable end, because what he did to it over the summer should have fixed the problem. 'Oh,' said my neighbour. 'That gable end's been leaking for twenty years, no-one's ever managed to sort that out.' (To be fair, it's highly likely no-one's tried...). Anyway, Pete is now in full-on CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!! mode and is currently inspecting my chimney pots.
I know that at some point in the next few years the roof on the main house is going to need replacing, because it's composite rather than slates, apparently as a rough estimate it's going to cost around £14,500 to re-slate the whole thing in Spanish slate, so he's said to call him when I've got £10k saved and he'll come and measure up properly, as it might come in a bit cheaper. That's the first savings goal when I'm debt-free then!0 -
Hi Caz
Ponies look really happy munching that lovely grass. Will be a big help on your grazing too. Our winter grazing is very sparse so luckily my girls are quite fat at the moment. My comp horse had a tooth extracted last week so cant be ridden for a few weeks - no problem with her eating though!
Website looks good - I hope orders / work start pouring in. You always sound so busy I feel exhausted now lol.0 -
Well, Pete said that as a first step he's going to replace the mortar on the repair he did in the summer, free of charge. He says it looks okay, but because it was so unbelievably hot the day they did it, it might have set too fast and cracked. If we then still have a leak (and it'll probably take another six months to find out, because that's about how often we get an easterly with rain in it!), then the next candidate is the chimney table, which is in a bit of a state and apparently when the chimney pot for the kitchen flue was removed, it wasn't capped properly and that's now cracking too - which would be a nice easy explanation for why water gets into the kitchen but not for why it only happens with an easterly wind.
I ended up with 5 hours' worth of files to proofread as well, because they didn't see my Skype message, so I'm still very behind on bead stuff. Going to try to catch up tomorrow instead, but Mr Minx has taken the day off so I may not get the chance! Can't believe it's the last day of the month tomorrow, where on earth has this one gone??0 -

Yep. Always look forward to scores on the doors.
Does anyone know if you can delete some messages
from your pm box or do you have to clear all of them? Mine is full so I can't send any pms.

And I can't believe I just thought 'oh good, we'll get two lots of scores on the doors' :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::T:T:T Scores on the doors are taking over the world:D:D:D:D
So here we go, especially for GallyGirl, weekly ones first:
Business
Overdraft: -£-6,750.00 / -£6,620.00 +£130.00
Business total: -£-6,750.00 / -£6,620.00 +£130.00
Personal
Halifax card: -£5,370.00 / -£5,370.00 no change
Personal total: -£5,370.00 / -£5,370.00 no change
Grand total: -£12,120.00 / -£11,990.00 +£130.00
Just sneaking into the £11k band before November and making the target I set myself for the end of the year (though I think technically I said under £6,000 for both business and personal, so I need to take another £630 off the overdraft before I've truly met it).
Now for the monthly ones:
Business
Overdraft: -£-7,150.00 / -£6,620.00 +£530.00
Business total: -£7,150.00 / -£6,620.00 +£530.00
Personal
Nationwide card: -£1,050.00 / £0.00 +£1,050.00
Halifax card: -£5,430.00 / -£5,370.00 +£60.00
Personal total: -£6,480.00 / -£5,370.00 +£1,110.00
Grand total: -£13,630.00 / £11,990.00 +£1,640.00
Don't expect anything this impressive next month, November is shaping up to be horribly expensive!0 -

Yes, you can - click the check box to the right of the ones you want to delete and then select Delete from the drop-down box at the bottom. It also saves a copy of all sent messages, so at the top, underneath the bar telling you how full your inbox is, change the 'Jump to Folder' option box to Sent items and clear those out as well.0 -
