Hi Caz
I'm just catching up as I've had a fortnight off (bliss) so congratulations on ridding yourself of the Barclaycard!!!! Great news.
Still a busy girl I see!Debt - CCV £3792
CCB £1383 (took a hit for a holiday)

I'm a bit knackered yesterday after a 350 mile road trip being mother-in-law's taxi, but the hospital in Caithness very kindly told me that since I was saving them sending an ambulance down, I'd be able to get petrol money from NHS Highland for taking her. When we got to Inverness, they couldn't find the forms, but said Mr Minx could get one for both of us when he brings her home tomorrow. I had no idea they did that, apparently it's for appointments and tests as well as in-patient stuff, so we'll know for future reference.
Despite being a bit bog-eyed, I've had a nice day pottering about doing beady stuff - I'm taking it easy because I had a mild stomach upset yesterday (as did Mr Minx, who thinks his homemade mustard dressing on Sunday night was the culprit), but I'm feeling better this evening, so it's time to do the workout I should have done yesterday and cut the grass while it's actually dry. Bead sales are going well this week, I've banked £1200 already- so 20% of the overdraft is now history. If I can bank £130 tomorrow morning (currently on £39.44 in PayPal, so actually looking dodgy at the moment!) then the actual overdraft figure will start with a 2 again.
I've also done my first flatback order for a while and found that they've put a lot of the prices down. Combined with the shift in the exchange rate in my favour since I last ordered, that's going to mean better prices for customers and hopefully more sales:D

£160 banked, overdraft starts with a 2 again
(Until tomorrow, when I have to pay a supplier £1,334.11!)
In fact, after making the Nationwide payment this morning, if I take the current balances of the two credit cards and the current actual balance of the overdraft, I 'only' owe £10,749.94. SO close to being into four figures!!0 -

I was naughty yesterday. I needed fuel so I had to go into town. I took a box of stuff into Cancer Research and told myself that if they had a book I fancied reading, I'd treat myself to lunch at the surf cafe (I'd been planning to do it for my birthday last week, but wasn't really in the mood). One copy of Eats, Shoots and Leaves later (£1.60!) and I was tucked into a squishy sofa with a bowl of carrot and sweet potato soup and this:
Yes, it did taste as good as it looks and yes, I did finish it! Finances-wise it wasn't too impactful, £4.15 for the soup and oatcakes and £2.85 for the cake, which I thought was pretty good for a slice that enormous!
Lots of money out of the business account today, two supplier payments totalling around £2k (depending on what the exchange rate is for the flatbacks) and I thought it was finally time to pay myself for August, so that was another £1,000. I'm back at the proofreading after my days off as well, so today has felt really busy.
However, the post brought me another nice letter today - Halifax has refunded the over-charge of balance transfer fees, so £85.50 has been credited to the cardTomorrow's scores on the doors are going to look fairly healthy, I think!

Apologies for the late appearance of scores on the doors - they've actually been done since about 10am, but I got hit with a rush job on the proofreading front which took a couple of hours and then I had to get orders done. So here we go:
Business
Overdraft: -£-8,080.00 / -£7,940.00 +£140.00
Business total: -£8,080.00 / -£7,940.00 +£140.00
Personal
Nationwide card: -£2,305.00 / -£2,200.00 +£105.00
Halifax card: -£5,580.00 / -£5,494.50 +£85.50
Personal total: -£7,885.00 / -£7,694.50 +£190.50
Grand total: -£15,965.00 / -£15,634.50 +£330.50
And I can do ones for the whole of August as well, I've just realised:
Business
Overdraft: -£-8,590.00 / -£7,940.00 +£650.00
Business total: -£8,590.00 / -£7,940.00 +£650.00
Personal
Barclaycard: -£500.00 / £0.00 +£500.00
Nationwide card: -£2,305.00 / -£2,200.00 +£105.00
Halifax card: -£5,640.00 / -£5,494.50 +£60.00
Personal total: -£8,445.00 / -£7,694.50 +£750.50
Grand total: -£17,035.00 / £15,634.50 +£1,400.50
Really not too shabby at all0 -

hope your MIL is doing ok.
She never had the operation in the end! They scanned her on Monday night, saw the stone clearly, took her down to theatre on Tuesday lunchtime, sedated her, put a camera in to double-check its position and the dratted thing had gone!! So they had a bit of a hunt, couldn't find it and she was wheeled back up to the ward and allowed out the following day. Mr Minx brought her home, she's not in any pain and although a bit tired, absolutely fine. Fingers crossed it just went through her!0 -
