Beccie how on earth do you manage 4???!! I did 3 for a bit but it nearly killed me, and I'm already utterly shattered (and it's only Monday) having got home about an hour ago from a 14 hour day across both jobs with no dinner as I don't get a gap inbetween... Are yours all part time? I work full time and then 12 hours on top on average (though can go up to as much as 22 hours, plus some evenings in my main job as well).

Seem to live life constantly tired, but all the working does at least prevent me going out and spending money, so it's good to be busy when you're paying off debt!

I work full time, then I work 14 hours regular in the pub (plus extras) then I have 2 cleaning jobs at 1.5 hours each. I used to work in excess of 100 hours a week up until about a year ago when I decided I needed to scale it back for my sanity :o

What 2nd job do you do? Your day yesterday sounds like my Tuesdays and Wednesdays - I do 7 till 4:30 in my main job, getting to the pub to open up for 5 then work till 830 on those days. Also with no dinner! Rubbish isn't it? :(

I have to say as soon as the debt is gone I won't be doing it anymore!

RESPECT Beccie! That's more than me most weeks and I struggle, hats off to you!

My second job is at my local Blockbusters, I do 8.45-5.15 in my main job (though sometimes start 8.15/8.30) then rush across town to start at Blockies at 5.30pm... I just about make it and manage to get changed in time! I then finish there about 10.30pm. I went for that rather than pub work as a second job as it's an earlier finish.

I can't believe you used to work 100 hours a week, I think for your health it's good you stopped doing that! Every now and again I toy with the idea of working a third job again (or putting myself on agency books for some casual waitressing) but I need time out to recharge. Although I work at the weekends, because I'm off my main job I have some free time and I spend a lot of it sleeping!

I agree it is rubbish! That said, whenever I have a week off from my second job I never know what to do with myself, I'm so used to having to pack things in around it!

I have two weeks off in a couple of weeks as my parents are taking me away as a belated 30th birthday present... cannot wait :)

You sound like me so much it's scary! I spend a lot of the weekend catching up on sleep, although I do work 1230 till 630 on Saturday in the pub. I used to work the same on Sundays as well, but decided never having a day off was awful. Sundays are very precious to me now. I do try to use some of the time to work on stuff for my Etsy shop then as well.

Blockbusters is a great idea for a second job, with it being an earlier finish. I used to open the pub and then work right through to close at 130 in the morning and that was awful. Now I've been there for nearly 4 years it's much better as I get to work shifts I want a lot more.

I was the same at Xmas - I ended up with two weeks off my main job and only a few pub shifts, I had so much free time I didn't know what to do!

Do enjoy your time away - you defnitely deserve it :D

Sorry for going on so much, just so nice to find someone who knows how rubbish it is :o

How come you got charged for the relists?
Was it anything to do with the negative Feedback? Or did you tick all the boxes and Relist them all together rather than going through and doing each one individually?

Hey Monkeynut - i ticked all of them (had 50 items on 1 page ) and just re-listed that way - it has never charged me before doing it this way - it looks like its going to and then it changes the amount to £0.00. If i had done 1 i would have realised somthing was wrong though which is why i'm blaming myself a bit but i wasn't feeling well and pushed myself to do the re-lists as i really needed the money :o:( I do look at my feedback - just not daily and would expect if there was a problem with anything that the person contacts me so it can be sorted out.

Arrgh! Just rechecked it and don't think its the negative feedback think its the postage and packing - as just about everything i post falls into the £2.20 category with a small amount added for packing i am  The only things i've charged incorrectly are a couple of items that just went over this so i was out of pocket. It is so annoying. Oh well! Definitely my fault then - just hope i get some good feedback on all the other stuff i've sold to rectify this. It is annoying as i have never profitted from postage and packing.

Am feeling a tad better today though as after making the 8th phone call to the same company with my patience wearing thinner each time i finally got sent confirmation about the query i have raised. Ridiculous waste of time but at least i don't need to chase it now.

Still no idea how to fix the negative feedback mind - and after searching around i've put in a request :T right what to achieve next ? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Oh does anyone do any MSs i have done 1 for a new company quite a big spend and i don't know when they payout

Beccie & DBG i know how you feel - i work full time with a (round commute) of 2.5 hours and i also used to work 2 part time jobs as well which was approximately 15 hours a week not counting the travel time and i'd be doing as many MS's as possible. I now only have my f/t job and try for MS's but they've pretty much dried up - plus i now won't do the ones where the report alone takes about an hour and payment is only £2  I do *need* another job for the income - my f/t work is low paid and when you think i'm spending over £100 a month on travel costs its  - it wouldn't be so bad spending that to get to work if i liked the job or if i was well paid but as its neither of them i am hoping the right job will come along for me soon *fingers crossed*

I'm a bit confused. Not sure if I'm just missing something, but I don't get what you think you may have to 'pay back'.
If you entitled to 27 days - is that actually 27 days off or will that be pro rata as you are part time? Either way that's irrelevant here anyway I think.

due to the length of time I have worked for the cou**il I am entitled to 28 days of paid sick. I have taken one. so 27 pro rata as I am p/t.

They give you 27 (or the pro rata equivalent) days - is that at full pay?

This would be full pay. (For my part time hours)...

So that is your companies own policy.

But then as Aesop said, there is Statutory Sick Pay from the government (though through your employer I believe, in the same way as Statutory Maternity Pay works) that you should be entitled to also, and that everyone in your situation would be entitled to regardless of who they work for.

For the other 2 weeks I would get SSP but it's not much. I need a full time job but had to accept this at 25 hrs, as it's better than nowt...

Can you clarify what you think you may have to pay back, and why you think that? Hope we can help :)

I though that if I was given compensation then any time I had off work resulting from the accident I would have to repay my workplace for the sick pay that I had taken...

Is this not the case then?????
