i'm entitled to 27 days so i think i'll have to pay them back for them which will be nearly the full grand as i'm part time.

it's just the thought of having that much fo a chunk that i can pay off in one go...

I'm a bit confused. Not sure if I'm just missing something, but I don't get what you think you may have to 'pay back'.
If you entitled to 27 days - is that actually 27 days off or will that be pro rata as you are part time? Either way that's irrelevant here anyway I think.

They give you 27 (or the pro rata equivalent) days - is that at full pay?
So that is your companies own policy.

But then as Aesop said, there is Statutory Sick Pay from the government (though through your employer I believe, in the same way as Statutory Maternity Pay works) that you should be entitled to also, and that everyone in your situation would be entitled to regardless of who they work for.

Can you clarify what you think you may have to pay back, and why you think that? Hope we can help :)

    Hey all,

Wow some fab totals and teeni that is an amazing amount of carbooty looty :T

Money is tediously slow for me this month - really need to give myself a good talking to :naughty: and get re-motivated :o

Also a bit  as someone has left me (incorrectly) negative feedback - i know its wrong as they've added a message to say they meant positive but i didn't know about this and i relisted a load of stuff all at once this weekend and got charged for it all *sob* it means i'm now out of pocket as what they bought was way less than the cost of the insertion fees :( I know its partly my fault too but i was under the weather and forced myself to do it as it was FLW and i really need the money - double Grr! Just need to sort out how i get this corrected now :(

How come you got charged for the relists?
Was it anything to do with the negative Feedback? Or did you tick all the boxes and Relist them all together rather than going through and doing each one individually?

Also, DizzyBrunetteGirl - I also cannot wait until I'm debt-free and only have one job too (rather than the current 4!) :D

Beccie how on earth do you manage 4???!! I did 3 for a bit but it nearly killed me, and I'm already utterly shattered (and it's only Monday) having got home about an hour ago from a 14 hour day across both jobs with no dinner as I don't get a gap inbetween... Are yours all part time? I work full time and then 12 hours on top on average (though can go up to as much as 22 hours, plus some evenings in my main job as well).

Seem to live life constantly tired, but all the working does at least prevent me going out and spending money, so it's good to be busy when you're paying off debt!

Just come back from the bank after paying ambrose wilson and the money into my overdraft, and you will never beleive it they told me i was running my account so well ( i have not actually been out of the overdraft for over 3 years) that they wondered if I would like to consider any of their borrowing products as the computer was showing i am eligible for a credit card!!! I politely declined and almost ran out of the shop.

Over the last couple of years I have gone from no-one lending me even a consolidation loan or overdraft to help me out when my finances were at rock bottom, to offers of loans and credit card transfers on a regular basis! It's amazing what getting rid of your debts (slowly but surely) and not using unplanned overdrafts can do to your credit rating :) I didn't get paid on time during that Natwest/RBS fiasco and my bank (Lloyds) instantly offered me a huge overdraft to cover me... that would never have happened a few years ago!

I'm so glad I stopped burying my head in the sand and started to sort things out. Though I do miss those 'yes let's go out for dinner and I'll just pop it on my credit card' nights...:rotfl:

It's been a tough lesson having to life live to my money rather than using credit to live how I want to!

Well done Teeni for running a mile when you were offered more credit! :)
