I got some of that Tesco value wrapping foil when I ran out of Lakeland foil (worth every penny) and it's just like normal foil but thinner?

I keep my lettuce in Lakeland Stayfresh bags, it lasts ages and the bags are washable & reusable.

I buy that value tesco foil. It's silver. So same as tin foil.
The value version of cling film is called tesco value food wrap.

That is probably why I got confused.. I couldn't remember "clingfilm" at that moment so went for wrapping foil:rotfl:
English is not my first language and I sometimes get black outs.

Anyway - so I wrap mine in cling film, does tin foil work better?

    Am I missing something???

My cat loves lettuce!!! If you leave it on the window sill he eats the ends off the leaves and no one wants to eat it when it has been nibbled by the cat!

I have a Tupperware Lettuce Crisper a lettuce keeps for 2 weeks easily but I don't think they sell them any more. I have had mine for at least 20 years. I did manage to get my son one from Ebay a couple of years ago I paid about £10 for it but they don't come up too often.

I've just bought some in B&M. I think they were £1 for 10. Also the red ones for storing cold cuts. :) I think that I've seen them in Poundworld too. (Same price!)

The tuppaware green vintage one is on ebay and is very similar with a spike inside to sit your lettuce on They are brilliant and every home should have one they you wouldn't need those bags of lettuce that turn slimy and brown very quickly.(they are filled with chemicals to keep the lettuce fresh as well, ugh )My eldest DD has said on many occassions that she has her eyes on my lettuce gadget when I pop my clogs :):)
  • I could really do with something as well as it take me ages to get through a lettuce (and rarely manage it before it goes yukky).

Just had a quick look on e*bay - do you think this would do?

It doesn't seem to have a spike but not sure if that will make a difference?
