Thank you Mupette, I'm afraid I just got mad, some critical people have no idea how much most disabled people struggle for a normal life. Most people I worked with had a rough idea I was sick, but that all.0

Same here Mupette x Try not to worry too much, PIP isnt going through yet. Autumn 2013 its being rolled out (if it happens, been lots of speculation lately). Even then its renewals first. Those on indefinite awards will be done as and when (look how long ESA takeover has taken).
All the stress wont be doing us on DLA any good. As someone said, millions of appeals will be submitted, its going to cause pure pandemonium, which will go on for months, if not years! Hopefully there will be another election by then lol x
Hope your doing ok btw xxxThe feeling i got when i confirmed my place studying criminology at Exeter Uni was brilliant!!!!!
The pride my children told me they had in me was even better!!!!! # setting positive example to children is OUTSTANDING!!!! !:grouphug::grouphug::smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea0 -

If you were giving your mother-in-law the money back that she forfeits in DLA, then this would be classed as fraud as effectively she would be sub-leasing the car to you. I know this because my partner works for the Motability scheme. It is also morally wrong, because Motability is a charity, so you'd be defrauding a charity.A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Started 15/03/2011.

Am expecting my OH to lose his DLA mobility as he has a random condition that doesn't seem to fall into the catergories for PIP
He doesn't use a wheelchair or walking aids as some days he cannot grip or hold anything without dropping it - some days he cannot walk at all - some he can - some days he 'walks' like a robot - some days he falls a lot etc etc
I work so if i am not home to take him out in his mobililty car he is housebound. He doesn't drive - but even if he had a licence he wouldn't be safe to drive because of his random and often sudden loss of feeling in his hands/arms and legs.
Time will tell i suppose0 -
I havent a clue how PIP will work, my son gets high rate as he cannot walk anywhere alone, he has verbal dyspraxia as one condition and has no understandable speech to a outsider and severe developmental delay which means he'd happily think anyone was his best friend and walk off yet to anyone watching he can happily run around kicking balls etc, his is entirely the mental side of disability and has been known to run off from my side in asda and be found watching trains at the station across the road unable to tell anyone even his name. Ive thankfully had my motability car 6 years now, 3 leased and then bought it over 3 years but as he will never have the capacity to drive and the car wont last forever im hoping it wont go against him that he can physically stand on 2 feet0

I have realised after a little research that I fell straight into the Dogs do da by getting upset.
All the Dogs da does is go round leaving usually one stirring remark then sits back & enjoy seeing people getting mad.
I do hope he finds himself in the same position one day.:rotfl:0 -
Getting back on subject - away from individual tales of woe and personal spats......OP, if you were to use the car to and from work, what would your MIL do during the time you're at work?0
