my frugalness is rubbing off on the lil sis. was messing on Monsoon - rather dreaming and stumbled across some dresses that thought may do for her bmaid dresses. sent her a message that showed them and she replied that she to had been looking at them ( perhaps all those years of wearing the same clothes in different colours is paying off..... its not the first time we have bought the same item without knowing!) anyways getting back on track, she said that they onl had 18's - LUCK they were reduced to 59 pounds and x3 10's and x2 12s... as we arnt sure what size we need.... so bought them and she can pay me back!!!
Must be ment to be - thats 3 dresses - fingers crossed for the price of one - just need the shoes so a cheeky trip to the shops between xmas and new year may be in order to get them in the sale!!!!
house paty was fab, woke up at 11.30 - cold almost gone!! just to dust around - but then hardly at home over xmas - so dont think i can be bothered!!!
going to walk to parents , once dressed , gone realy tired - not like me at all!!!!!

I a very reflective mood this morning. Thanks to you guys i have paid off over £3000 off my mortage this year. OH and I have agreed that this year we are setting ourselves a very strict challenge :-
only buying what we need.
We are scrimping in Jan ( as we have a hen do), but i have organised that and by my reconing the days not going to cost anyone anything due to the way i have costed it.
I am continuing to work the second job , putting my propositions to the company today - if they wont allow it i'll just have to find something else.
We are using up all toiletries etc ( OH obsessed about collecting soaps etc , and still have a bag full from our honeymoon - as we were away for 6 weeks!!)
Clothes - got camera loaded up with the pictures ready to put on in January. Only wearing a "minimal" wardrobe - Gok would finally be proud!!! - realised that i have some lovely pieces that just dont get worn and just going to get a few bits that can be worked in.
Food- Continue buying reductions, and making lunches / teas, but we still seem to waste an amount, so thats cutting down.
NO CHOCOLATE OR SWEETS - this money is purely to go on oP's
Heating - OP checked our oil tank and used 1/2 tank since june , pretty impressed as we were worried it would use alot more, thank goodness for out woodburner!!!
Petrol - going to try and car share still, but increasingly harder due to the new job, and person used to share with is based elsewhere - we will see though.
Hair cuts/ beauty - managed to still look ok- ish having the pro's do it every few month and me just plucking etc inbetween. After feb ( when bmaid), i'll be growing hair so once again that will save some pennies - and will be able to go to teh local college for a cut!
Gym - well gotmyslef stuck for 12 months in this one - but to be honest its my only hobby( apart from on here!), so bootcamp it is in jan...
Holidays ...... whats one of those??!!teehee
AIM IS TO CONTINUE TO OP BY £3000 a years approx , with all the rest in savings ( ready for Dec when the mortage needs renewing) fingers xed it will drop , and then i can continue to op!!!
once again thankyou MS friends, you are an inspiration,
right off to town to buy next years pressies and to put away, and to windows shop ( did manage to get a cardi - but mite not be right , and some new reduced gym trainers ( others looked abit scuzzy and hurt my feet)),
TTFN, good luck in 2013, hope it brings you health , wealth and happiness
