By the way, I don't think this is a research project, because my boyfriend is planning on doing something similar for his dissertation and this is just too... unrestrained? If it was research, it would be crap research.

Yeah and don't you have to ask consent for research to be conducted?

Thats why our researchers (Inc me) have to advertise for volunteers if we require them.

you don't need the consent of people if you're just watching them in a natural environment and won't ever identify them in the write up............ so maybe it all is a bizarre experiment

i do really like MSE and people give advice in good faith - not to be manipulated, so even if this is all a set up, i think it sucks!

I am just a very unhappy person that has made mistakes in my life. Sadly it is not as wonderful as research just plain and simple I feel so unhappy sometimes I just feel like exploding.

Sadly I missed my way and I listened to self doubt when I did UCAS and went against Surveying as I thought I would never be able to drive and I have suffered the regret and the unhappiness as a result of that choice everyday since.

What the hell do you actually want Mister Student Phil. Do you want your university to turn around and say awh poor you, here have a first class degree. Do you honestly think you would have earnt it?

You've admitted you don't do the studying because it "upsets" you.
You've admitted you spend most of your time on here.
You've admitted you struggle with your course content/reading.

It takes a big man to admit the truth about something they simply aren't good at. Grow up, take some responsibility and most importantly... If you want to actually make your degree worth doing, stop wallowing in selfpity and actually do some !!!!!!!g work. Wah you have to read a couple of hundred pages, wah wah wah. You read far more than that here.

I do not want university to give me a first.

I would like universities to help people a bit more though. Not just this you are there and you should know how to do everything with no help as can happen now.

Dropped in at the deep end- I do find that problematic because it assumes there is perfect knowledge of what do and how to cope in the university setting.

  • I think they owe me at least 5% grade increase for all the pain, destress and upset that they have caused me and that has made my life so horrible.

University has turned me unhappy and it is time they took note of that.

are you kidding? are you seriously actually having a laugh? you literally sound like a Lauren/Vivky Pollard/Kevin the Teenager!

Sorry to be so mean, but come on!

  • i have the DSA for my dyslexia/dyspraxia and in an exam i am entitled to 30% more time plus a reader and scribe, so im not at any disadvantage.

i alos get it for my OCD/depression and any lack of attendance due to this condition does not count against me in classes such as workshops where it might do otherwise.

that said, i never use my condition to get away with stuff at uni, my work is always handed in on time, if not early.

That is the way it should be, no one should use a condition to get treated more favourably than the next person.
