For cobnuts, I go to the end of my driveway :j my next door neighbours have a tree/plant which I almost cut down/back last year as when it's green and leafy you can't see what's coming up the road when you are pulling off the drive. When I spied the cobnuts that were on my side, I was having them! I'm watching it closely this year and there are loads on there
I usually grow loads in my garden but this year decided against it. Just as well with all this rain, my tomatoes would have all had blight. But my strawberries are doing nicely after 2 winters outside
Hehe. I feel conspicuous enough. Just today, I climbed over the railings on the coastal path to get to the dog piddle free sea beet. 2 people stopped to enquiry casually what I was doing. I happily showed them the page in my field guide which plant I was collecting and why.
I can only imagine how conspicuous I'd feel in a high viz:o
Still, if it meant I could collect the blackberries safely, I wouldn't hesitate.
I'm well jealous of your neighbours cob nut crop!!!!!! (That sounds really bizarre :rotfl:)
I've tried to get a good productive garden this year. Each year it improves but this year my 'patch' has increased a thousand fold with foraging. It appeals even more as no toiling, planting, weeding etc. just harvesting. Perfection:A Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present.!:A

I've yet to see a cobnut. They sound intriguing.
Hands off - took years of TLC to get it to this :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Cobnuts are (sort of) hazelnuts and absolutely gorgeous! What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
