Soon be time to pick the wild raspberries that grow up the lane
Noooooooo!
HC is missing out on my favourite foraged plant: wood sorrel!!
(more 3 leaved plants for me!!).Wonder where the expression comes from? Sounds cool!
You are so lucky with the wild raspberries :)I've looked in vain for wild raspberries but I've not given up hope! I do have quite a few cultivated canes though in my garden.
Enterprise, whereabouts are ya! Wouldn't mind foraging in your garden!;)
I've yet to see a cobnut. They sound intriguing.:A Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present.!:A

Looking forward to raspberry season though, mine are coming along quite nicely, along with my blueberries! Have quite a productive garden: Blackcurrants, redcurrants, rhubarb, blueberries, tayberries and raspberries. Also hopefully tomatoes. Would have had onions but the sparrows won that battle!!!
Had lovely dinner, a bit of an experiment, put some emmental cheese on top of chicken breasts and wrapped them in bacon, popped them into the oven for 35 minutes, along with some roast spuds and some mixed mediterranean veg (curtesey of Aldi!!). Was very nice! Was a big treat as did not depend on woopsies!
I go blackberrying in a country lane near me but have to wear hi viz cos of the speed some of the cars come round the bends. Still got some of last years in the freezer
For cobnuts, I go to the end of my driveway :j my next door neighbours have a tree/plant which I almost cut down/back last year as when it's green and leafy you can't see what's coming up the road when you are pulling off the drive. When I spied the cobnuts that were on my side, I was having them! I'm watching it closely this year and there are loads on there
I usually grow loads in my garden but this year decided against it. Just as well with all this rain, my tomatoes would have all had blight. But my strawberries are doing nicely after 2 winters outsideI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards. And then the footy season begins again!!:o:j:j
Got to be Spain unless they put Torres on :rotfl:
I guess by the time the Olympics are over we'll be glad for the football season. Hoping to get a few things done before life revolves around the fixture list again, harder to plan now because it all gets changed at the last minute for sky0 -

Took the kids to a PYO farm today, got a punnet of strawbs and one of gooseberries!
went to T's and they had a load of the small pots of cream (free with the strawbs) on whoopsie, grabbed a couple of cartons at 9p each!!:j:j
Got home, looking forward to my fresh strawberries and cream and the kids had already polished them all off!!:rotfl:"He that lieth down with dogs shall rise up with fleas" Benjamin Franklin
