Is it just me who thinks she is incredibly stupid and lost out on absolute millions in compensation?

or is losing the five family members, just as bad?

im baffled. I would have just smiled when I see that knife in my sandwich, knowing how much money I was gonna put in my highest interest earning account.
Save saynoto0870.com in your favorites, and stop giving companies more £££ dialling 0870 numbers when you can dial freephones or cheaper alternatives
call your credit card company, tell them that you want to leave, 99% of the time theyll lower your APR%
Remember when that Bank Manager or Salesperson smiles at you, all he sees is £ notes. Dont forget the motto, "the wider their grin, the more debt your in"

What is it with people where :

something potentially dangerous happens to someone
    said someone complains
people jump on the "oh its only for a bit of compo / the worlds gone mad / I'm jealous really but don't want to say it" bandwagon? Yes some attempted claims are a bit ridiculous (such as those described in tabloids), but not all.

What if it was a shard of glass in there? Or a small piece of plastic? What if somone had to be rushed to hospital? Oh i bet there would be a few calls for compensation there by the very people who are having a go at OP for having a moan.

Whether it was a knife, glass or whatever, the fact is that the food operator has not done their job properly. By bringing the incident to teh attention of the authorities or management, then hopefully the incident will be avoided again. This may have happened a few times before but no-one has complained and the shop staff keeps doing it. We don't know for sure, but something has gone wrong and it needs addressing.

Before the same happens again and it's your kid getting their stomach or windpipe cut open for something that shouldn't have been there.

    Pathetic.
Don't bother trying to sue me - I've got no money!

if you can't see a knife in your sandwich then you deserve to swallow it.

Boycotting Subway is just plain stupid. It wasn't subways fault it ended up in there. some ejit left a knife in a sandwich, you stop going to Subway, ejit gets gets sacked and gets a job in the shop you decide to go to instead of Subway.
I doubt it's subways policy to leave knives in sandwiches so boycotting the place because of an accident is as dumb as it comes.

You see the sandwich being made in front of you. The person making the sandwich asks you if you want cheese, want it toasted ECT. When it comes out of the toasting oven or after main filling has been put in they ask what salad and sauce you want. They have to open the sandwich to add the salads and sauces. So I don't quite get how the knife went unnoticed.
    Come on you Irons

the point is the person going to the newspapers about it
  • i used to work in a subway i can not understand how this could have happen.
The bread is cut first so its very starnge how someone could have added the filling with a knife in the sandwich.
I have enough money to last me the rest of my life, unless I buy something

The bread is cut last if you are buying a footlong. Maybe the person cut the bread, put the knife back down onto the sandwich itself then quickly wrapped it without noticing.
They say you can't put a value on life... but I live it at half price!
