Subway - KNIFE in sandwich!

OH's cousin found a knife in her sandwich the other day! She went back and complained but didn't even get an apology, just a couple of vouchers (and tbh if it was me I would never go there again). She's got the papers coming on Monday though.

Did she get pictures of the knife in the sandwich? Did they take the knife back?

Thats an awful thing to have happened - how on earth can they leave a knife in a sandwich?! It would put me off eating there for a long while, actually I havent eaten there for ages because I decided they were too expensive

  • I don't know the full details of it yet, OH just told me today. With this day and age I suppose she could have got a picture using a camera phone. I know OH's family won't be going there anymore, and I love Subway but that's definitely put me off.

Why has she got the papers coming, is she an attention seeking compensation crazed individual ! In a world where bombers blow themselves up on tube trains and children die from malnutrition such a story would be worthy of only the trashiest local paper.

So an employee made a mistake, was your sister injured, she should just accept that in life things happen, this sort of action just adds to the compensation blame culture.

Sure Subway could have dealt with it better, speak to the regional franchise manager if she's that bothered, but going to the papers, she must live somewhere where nothing interesting ever happens.
  • Tbh nothing happens here, they have a full page for someone who's won the £50 in the local lottery.

I was thinking that but just assumed not all subways must do that!

can you just imagine the person serving,

    what sort of bread
do you want extra cheese?extra meat? toasted? salad? sauces?

what sort of knife do want six inches or foot long, serated or dagger,

just going to be another thing to say no thank you too when you order the £1.99 sub of the day.

Well, at least there was little chance of her swallowing the knife without realising.........
